Green is coming.

Quote

Grant Green -- now, outfielder Grant Green? -- will be added to the Angels roster before Friday's opener of a series against the Texas Rangers. The Angels cleared a roster spot by sending down reliever Yoslan Herrera after Wednesday's game.
Green, who was among the final players cut before opening day, hit .349 with two homers and 28 RBI in the first month of the season at Salt Lake City.
He started the past six games in left field, after playing solely on the infield since the Angels acquired him last July from the Oakland A's. The A's had tried him in the outfield in the minors in 2012.
The Angels currently are without both of their starting corner outfielders, as Josh Hamilton and Kole Calhoun are on the disabled list for at least another three weeks. J.B. Shuck, who has been playing left field, is hitting .156. Collin Cowgill, who has played mostly right, is hitting .293.
It's not yet clear if the Angels would be comfortable with Green starting in the outfield. Asked about it on Sunday in New York, Manager Mike Scioscia said the move to the outfield was simply to improve Green's versatility.
So far Green has only played second base in the majors, but he played second, third and shortstop in spring training.

Added him even though I have Kendrick as a Angel 2B...Might as well see what the kid has being in a 20 team league.

Those numbers are nothing to sneeze at.

Not much speed, not much power so he'd be a BA add hoping he could work himself into the lineup once Hamiltion returns.  Where he hits would be important too since he lacks elite tools....

2013 AAA - 6.5 BB%, 16.9 K%.
2013 with Angles - 7.3 BB%, 27.7 K%.
2014 AAA - 7.0 BB%, 13.2 K%.

I guess it should also be noted that he has played AAA in the PCL.

He got 140 AB in 2013 should we expect much different? I think his contact rate should improve, but his BA might not, depends if a 36% hit rate on balls in play is sustainable for him. Like Patrick said, not much power, he does have speed but not a basestealer.

Worth a flier in deep mixed leagues if you have a spot and need BA help. He never batted under .291 in the minors and has a career BA of .309 over 2337 PAs. Not sure what to expect as far as power, but he's not a speed guy.

The appeal here is he is a solid hitter overall and from the sounds of it, the Halos will be using him all over. He played LF for a bit in AAA over the past week or so since they need to find a better option than JB Shuck. He's got experience at 2B/3B/SS as well

basically, he could be their super utility guy who plays all over here and there to give players a rest. Maybe he gets some AB's at DH vs LHP as well

Deep leagues and AL-only are about where I'd consider an add

I remember when this guy was a lock for the #1 pick in the draft maybe 5-6 years ago, flashing elite tools in college during his junior year. Then he just fell off a cliff the following year, fell to the A's in the midrounds of the 1st round, and has pretty much underwhelmed since.

Highly unlikely. Freese is starting to hit.

Looking over his stats in the minors it looks like he has now power (given playing in the PCL), and no speed, average to below average plate discipline, and makes solid contact.  I really see nothing too useful about an empty .280 player

Not in the lineup today, although he hasn't been officially called up just yet.
