If you have a player who is a 3-point assassin (40%), if he shoots a lot of threes that actively hurts you in FG% as well. I don't like that a player can, in one game, hurt you in one category, and from the exact same actions help you in another category.
To be honest, true shooting percentage should be used because 40% from 3 is not the same as 40% from 2, yet FG% treats them exactly the same. There should be some normalization there.
