What's is the highest fantasy point total you've seen a player rack up in one single game? I haven't been doing this long enough to see some of the biggest ones probably, but I think AP got like 54 points in a game last season (200 rushing yds, 100 receiving yds, 4 tds, or something like that). Any bigger ones?

The week Peterson broke the rushing record last year, he put up 88 points.

We get 2 points for every ten yards when they rush over 100 and 3 points for every ten yards when they go over 200. With all hsi yards and TDs (we have small length bonuses, too) he scored 88. Thankfully, I had him!!

Jimmy Smith had a game with 15 Catches for 291 yards and 3 TD's. That's the all time record for our league.

Vick scored 71 pts in my league (bonus pts for length of td's and yardage 300+)

But Lee Evans i believe holds the record, he had like two 80-yard td's that 1 game, 2 yrs ago?? not sure. was like 200+ yards wit those 2 huge scores, he put up like 83 pts.

From ESPN:

Fantasy football is a numbers game, through and through.

On Monday night, Michael Vick posted some incredible numbers, passing for 333 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 80 yards and two additional scores. With 49 fantasy points, Vick holds the best single-game performance of the 2010 season so far, but how does it rank since 2000?
1. Clinton Portis, 2003 Week 14, 54 fantasy points: This one meant about as much to his Denver Broncos as it did to his fantasy owners; without this win versus the eventual division-winning Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos probably wouldn't have reached the playoffs in 2003. It was his fifth 100-yard rushing effort in a streak of six to conclude the season, and in the process, he upstaged an even bigger (at the time) fantasy stud, the Chiefs' Priest Holmes (44 rushing yards, two touchdowns).
2. Shaun Alexander, 2002 Week 4, 52: Ah, a Sunday night football classic. Surely you remember this one? In only the second game at Qwest Field (then Seahawks Stadium), Alexander set an NFL record with five touchdowns in the game's first half, establishing his reputation as a premier prime-time performer. He played 14 night games in his career, totaling 13 touchdowns.
3. (tie) Michael Vick, 2010 Week 10, 49

Vick scored 65 points for me last night. We award bonus for QBs that rush for td (+5) and award bonus for TD's over 40 yards (+5). The yardage figures were not that astounding. I've seen guys throw for 500 yards before. Its the scoring and distance scoring and rushing tds that made this a big deal for a lot of us.

I had Portis that year, and this game remains our league scoring record -- 65 points. We reward 3 point bonuses for 100 and 200 yards, and PPR as well. Also extra point per 20 yards of a TD (21-40 would be 7 points, 41-60 8 points, etc.) Vick came pretty close last night, and it's probably more impressive since QBs only get 1 point per 25 yards passing.

Here's a yahoo article on it that goes wayy back, Vick apparently had the best ever for a qb but not overall (yahoo standard)

http://sports.yahoo....=fantasy-285986

According to the Roto Arcade research staff (me), Vick's fantasy total bumped Hall of Famer YA Tittle from the fantasy record book. Back in 1962, Tittle passed for 505 yards and seven TDs, leading the Giants to a win over … wait for it … the Redskins. Here's the box score. In the fantasy era, Mark Rypien's 47-point performance back in '91 was the top mark (442 yards, six passing TDs, rush TD).

If the game circumstances would have allowed it — that is, if Washington's offense could have kept up the pace — Vick clearly had a shot at the biggest fantasy day in history, regardless of position. But I'm fairly sure that honor still belongs to Billy Cannon. He scored five touchdowns in a game for the Oilers back in '61, while rushing for 216 yards and catching five passes for 114. That's a cool 62 points for Billy. (Honorable mention: Dub Jones in '51, Gale Sayers in '65, Clinton Portis in '03).

I have to think excluding all bonus point scoring (standard scoring only)

1 pt per 10 yrds rush/rec
6 pt per td both rush/rec

Vick's game last nite was the best ever fantasy performance.

This is going WAY back, but in 1929, Ernie Nevers set a pro football record by scoring all 40 of his team's points, on 6 rushing touchdowns and 4 point after kicks. The box score does not include yardage totals, but you have to think he racked up at least 150 yards on the ground, which would put him in the discussion.
