How I feel after doing all that research on Sammy Watkins for 2017...

If Jerry Jones ever wants the circus to stop in Dallas he could send a strong message here and tell Elliott he's serving that suspension and that if he ever gets in trouble again he won't have to wait for the NFL to suspend him because Jerry do it himself. Jerry has enabled (embraced) the sideshows down there for so long and it certainly hasn't helped matters any.

Yeah, there is no comparison. One play, the back has nowhere to run, and the 2nd, the back doesn't even get touched I know I've been away for a while, but I could swear Josh was actually a good poster last year. What's going on around here? Unless he just has some really unhealthy hate for Fournette

LOL... *slaps forehead* That's a form of sexual assault... which is indeed a crime.

Anyone already sick of talking about 'Zeke Elliott's suspension? I know I am and it's all just getting started...

Sammy owners...have fun with all the 4pm games when he is a weekly game time decision.

He's a guy to watch, huge fan of his. He has great size at 6'4" 221 lbs. He ran a 4.53 40 but got hurt during the run. Not sure at what part of the run he got hurt on but it wouldn't surprise me if his true 40 time was a little faster than that. He definitely has the built to be a great receiver in the league. He had an amazing knack for getting open in college. He only had 81 catches in his 3 years playing receiver but he played in an offense that really spread the ball around. He also missed 7 games last year due to a broken collarbone. He averaged an amazing 20.6 YPC and scored touchdowns on 20 of his 81 catches. He isn't really a guy that's deep ball or bust, it was just the best role for him in the offense UNC ran. Ryan Switzer was a reception monster and Bug Howard was the big bodied receiver they went to in the red zone. One thing that gives him a chance to get in games is he will most likely dress for most games. He's a monster on special teams and that's what earned him his scholarship in college. He was only a walk-on and by the end of his freshman year he was a captain on special teams. If one of the starters gets hurt he will be there dressed to step in. With Alshon Jeffrey playing in front of him an injury is definitely a possibility. He's a guy his teammates love too. When he got injured his senior year Bug Howard wore Mack's number the next game to honor him.

Yes he can. The problem a lot of the time was the receivers dropping a pass that was thrown to their chest. The receivers were bad last year. Really bad. And if KENNY FREAKING BRITT CAN SCORE MORE THAN 1,000 YARDS WITH GOFF/MANNION/KEENUM IN A 1980's OLDSCHOOL FISHER OFFENSE.... Imagine what a Top-8 WR Talent can do in a McVay / LaFleur offense?

I trust him more than the Mets' medical staff.

Do you mean outside like not the slot, or do you mean outside of college?
  17. 4 points
Zay Jones the biggest winner in all of this? Jordan Matthews has shown he can't play outside
  18. 4 points
Now we will really find out if Dak is as good as everyone thinks he is after last year. This puts a lot more pressure on him.

i like how some people are only watching these preseason games to then say "but he did this against 2nd and 3rd string defenses" Simply put, you're watching the wrong aspect of preseason then. What I'm watching: his confidence, his footwork, his arm motion, his zip or touch on the football on certain reads and throws he's making. Its preseason, every person on the field is playing against back ups at some point. Its very early for all rookies right now, but I'm watching for the guys who look like they are competent and skilled enough to play at the next level. For a guy with little college experience(was the biggest knock on Mitch), he looked pretty dang good last night in his very first preseason NFL experience. Its better then looking like an absolute S**t show out there, which is another thing I'm looking for with these young players. He showed promise and decent technique, I'm watching that, not the preseason defense he's facing.

You pretty much have to start Glennon for at least the first four weeks of the season so that when you do turn to Trubisky, it's for good. Can't afford to play carousel with a rookie QB. There is nothing to lose in throwing Glennon out there for the first few games to see what he can do. If you throw Trubisky out there and he tanks, he would be hard to bench for Glennon and you don't want to shatter his confidence that early. I think the Bears go with Glennon and Trubisky starts by Week 6-8 or so.

Or until the mets medical staff amputates his leg because his arm got hit with a baseball.

"For example, both the Columbus Prosecutor's office as well as the NFL investigators expressly concluded and conveyed to our office (and others) that the accuser was lying about an alleged July 22, 2016 incident whereby she accused Mr. Elliott of pulling her out of her car and assaulting her. An allegation that was ultimately undermined by her own friend's affidavit which stated that no such assault occurred. The affidavit also outlined the accuser's plan to orchestrate a story to police to in order to corroborate her false allegation of assault. In addition, the NFL's own medical experts concluded that many of her injuries predated the week in question and likely occurred during a period of time when Mr. Elliott was not in contact with the accuser. During the upcoming weeks and through the appeal a slew of additional credible and controverting evidence will come to light." I don't want to pretend to know everything involving this case behind closed doors, or the inner workings and details of a one sided six page NFL report on their findings, i would suggest you guys do the same. There are always two sides to every story. I'd like to see and hear the appeal that is coming before placing judgment. Allegations and speculations are not proof of anything, no matter how bad you want to think it is

Zeke needs to serve the 6-game suspension if he abused that woman. I hear that they have pictures of her abused on 3 different occasions. Zeke got what he deserved. Cry about your fantasy or favorite team, this is bigger than football. I don't care if he ever returns as a cowboy and Jerry Jones/crew must start vetting these guys. I'm sick of them drafting and signing these troubled players that's ruining America's Team's legacy for not winning.

Say what you want about Tyrod, but the man throws a beautiful deep ball. That was a big part of my optimism for Watkins. Sure Goff could take a huge leap this year and be okay, but that's adding even more risk to an already risky pick in Sammy

You would take Zeke at 2.12 or 3.01? He will miss 7 of the 13 fantasy football games. Waaaay to rich for me in competitive leagues.
  34. 3 points
It doesn't hurt Dak and Dez at all, it helps them. They'll be forced to open up the playbook more and air it out as they don't have a back up half as good as Zeke.

its just a blow hard being a blow hard on a blow hard show with zero credibility. He was just hoping to be right on a swinging chance so he can look smart i figure. Something is coming down the pipeline, Cris missed calling his shot though.

There are a lot of quarterbacks that went against 2nd and 3rd team defenses last night. Trubisky probably looked better than all of them. We'll see if he keeps it up. The pocket awareness and accuracy were very good.

2 drives of a meaningless preseason game. There are no conclusions to draw from last night, other than Williams looks like the clear #2.

Four games for what? That would just be Roger Goodell playing his dream judge/jury/executioner role and being power drunk again. But I could see three games, "appealed" down to two. Regardless, its this poop-butt stuff that puts Bell and Elliott in a tier below DJ when ranking the top 1-3 players in fantasy and real-life football.

Considering this kid's QB and his perpencity to routinely improvise, he's gonna need everything to go right, to put up the points in PPR to match his current ADP I play in a 14 team league PPR league. It's 150 a team. It's my only league. Look, I like this kid, all I'm saying is this looks expensive. Odds are he plays to equal value of his draft slot. He's going ahead of Ty Montgomery and Danny Woodhead. I'd rather have both players than CMAC,

To be fair, there's still opportunity for the DA to pick it up if it comes across their desk. But if the NFL is going to suspend him 6 games with no cooperating victim or charges filed, there has to be video. If there were neither three, I'd think he'd be put on the exempt list rather than suspended.

I'm sure its fun to do your best to try and cling to those super bowl appearances that happened over 20 years ago. I'm not sure what even really defines a silly statement like "America's Team" but a team not even showing its face in a SB in over 20 years seems like a strong knock against qualifying for that designation.

Orgs can be conservative to a fault. The whole super2 manipulation thing is a questionable strategy -- evidence of how MBAs in upper management can dilute the quality of any specialized service by mindlessly chasing pennies around. Why not find out what you've got as early as you can, get a guy's first MLB taste in his mid-season comfort zone, and develop players at what looks like their natural pace? Say you don't ink him to a second deal. Whatever year you "lose" comes back as a year of service from the haul he brings in trade. If the Braves really want to win in 2019, then the pace of this guy's promotion (along with Albies', Swanson's and their young arms') will be critical. And putting a winner in the new stadium could go a lot further towards affording longer careers from this generation than trying to milk extra discounted seasons at the cost of development, wins and morale. Winning is the most profitable business practice. Hopefully their front office's history is a sign that the higher ups see things that way, and they bring him on up. And he smashes all of Baseball with god-like skills and power.
