I agree...he is terrible. I do like him on PTI but i think that has more to do with Wilbon's awesomness then Kornheiser. Sometimes i wonder if knows ANYTHING about REAL football...

That whole crew is horrible.

Don't ever mention Dennis Miller's name again, it might come true. What they need to realize is people are going to watch football or they aren't. Stop trying to gain mainstream appeal by having personalities in the booth, it's not attracting viewers who ordinarily wouldn't watch anyway. And treat the people who are going to watch with enough respect to have a reputable group of people commentating. Not to hijack the thread, but my favorite announcers of all time were Merlin Olson, Don Criqui, Bob Trumpy and Dick Enberg. Those guys were awesome, not like the clowns they have today. I also liked ESPN's former trio of Theisman, Mcguire, and Tirico.

I happen to find Tony Kornheiser both very entertaining and very informative.

If anything, they should fire the other two and let him run the show alone.

I hated Theisman as well. Maybe not as much as Miller or Kornheiser, but he sucked too. Any man who would change the prononciation of his name to rhyme with Hesimann is joke....but at least he didn't try to make out with Suzy Kolber.

I don't care for Theisman, but as a whole I thought the trio worked well together.

I could not agree more with you. I thought Joe Theisman was AWFUL as an commentator. Just plain awful. He was a good player though. I will NEVER forget watching his tibia bone explode out through his sock after LT came crashing in on his leg. That is an image I will have forever.

Kornheiser is OK on PTI, but he adds nothing to the MNF broadcast. While we're signing petitions, we might as well add Jaworski to the list. At least he knows about football, but he really annoys me with his lame jokes, laughing at Kornheiser's lame jokes, and his fashionable woman glasses.

They need to get Singletary in there to give them a talking-to.

That was the worst announcing team ever. Theisman is a complete idiot and Mcguire pretty much was obsolete once they started putting the yellow 1st down line on the screen.

I sign this petition also. I lived in DC for many years and Korheiser's column rarely or never had any sports related content. He had a radio show which was kind of entertaining, but again in a non-sports kind of way. The guy is just there to relate to the casual football fans. He says stupid stuff like "Nashville is a small market so if TEN doesn't win tonight, the rest of the country will not take them seriously." or ... "I know this is only week 4, but this is a MUST WIN game for the Saints". What kind of BS is that?

Just tell your jokes doofus. Don't try to talk sports, you might hurt yourself.

Love hearing this guy call a game, brings excitement to a game like being there live.

The Frank TV commercials are even more annoying than Kornheiser & Miller combined. I hate the commercials; they ruin the playoff games on TBS b/c they are on in each and every break.

He is absolutely horrible in the booth. Out of touch with the game, the players, fans, and just plain brutal to listen to. I would rather listen to Pam Ward call the game by herself.

I know Collinsworth is an NBC guy and does Thurs games on NFL network, but all ESPN needs is a 2 man booth with someone of Collinsworth's ilk to go with Tirico or whomever.

And no to Mike and Mike. The booth of Mike, Mike, and Mike is horrendous. There are Tues night college games with better announcing teams.

Bring Jesse Palmer, the bachelor to MNF .... hes probably my favorite analyst right now. Very informative and speaks well ... Herbstreet as well but he probably wouldnt be as good in the NFL

It's his tendency to try and make everything that happens during a game seem far more dramatic than it actually is that annoys me the most. The little pre-game speech things he does before each game are the same way. A team will come out and cough the ball up and he'll act like it's the most earth-shattering event in NFL history. He just tries too hard.

I like Jaws, and I don't mind Tirico, but Kornheiser needs some work.

I went to high school with his daughter. Small school, a place where everyone knew each other a little too well. Yeah it's true, he's pretty impossible to deal with in real life as well.

I enjoy his articles, and I really like PTI, but I agree he SUCKS as a commentator. Never really offers any insight, generally just asks Jaws dumb questions, which he then has to respond to instead of breaking down the game. Jaws and Tirico probably can't stand him.
