This surprises me. Although he has not had a very good record the past couple of years (i have to look it up...I know it's not pretty). I really feel like he was building towards the future. Their offense had pretty good production and they have some quality young players. They just need to improve on their defense and wins those close games. Not exactly Herm's fault however I guess someone has to take the axe.

Chiefs are nearing an agreement with Mike Shanahan as their next head coach..


This confuses me, Mike has stated he wanted to go to a team that can win now. The Chiefs are far from it and are a work in progress

worst nfl coach... the jets are overrated every year thus making him look decent.. hes horrendous

I don't think it's surprising at all. All signs pointed to this when Pioli was given the job in KC. You'd have to figure he'd want someone of his choice in there.

And there are conflicting reports on Shanny taking over in KC. There's probably a better chance of Shannahan not being there next year than there is of him being there next year.

Herm should have been fired like 2 - 3 years ago. Terrible coach coaching a god awful Chiefs team. I hear Oakland needs a new head coach. Maybe Uncle Al will go after him.
