What happened with Bynum against Utah? I like the 2 blocks, but 2 points and 3 rebounds aren't gonna cut it. Anyone have any insight, or was it just a bad game?

I watched some of the game last night and to me Bynum seems to get lazy. Against guys like Boozer and Okur it was hard for him to get in there and rebound. He played 32 min so he is getting a chance to produce, it is what it is. He is very young and he will be inconsistent.

Gotcha. As long as he still got the minutes like that.

I own Bynum too and was disappointed with his lackluster performance.

I believe it was just a bad game due to flu-like symptoms, but I also see him being inconsistent, so I'll be dropping him soon.

From Rotoworld:

Andrew Bynum-C- Lakers Feb. 27 - 11:05 am et

Andrew Bynum fought through flu-like symptoms in Monday's win over Utah, but Lakers coach Phil Jackson praised his stamina while discussing the team's long-term plans for him.

"He's done a better job of fighting his way through and playing nine or 10 minutes now in a row," Jackson said, "so I'm pleased with that part of his development." Jackson's other comments seemed to indicate that Bynum is the team's center of the future, but it will be interesting to see whether he keeps the starting job when Kwame Brown returns.

I would not be dropping Bynum.

Don't be too hasty on that. Bynum has outplayed Kwame Brown hands-down this year, and the starting job is his to lose. Phil Jackson called out Kwame before the Allstar break, and that was before Kwame took another month off. Heck, Mihm might be back before Kwame.

I agree with all of this except "Bynum outplayed Kwame Brown hands-down this year"... which is categorically untrue... Now i'm certainly no kwame fan, but when he was healthy, he not only had the starting job and had far more minutes, but was Phil's main choice and had the clearer stats... so he's certainly moved into Phil's dog house, which is a problem, but i wouldn't be too surprised if he gets a bunch of minutes if he ever comes back...
