i honestly didn't even realize there was an "off topic" section of the forums. i guess i've never scrolled below the fantasy football section before.

anyway, i'm just curious how many fellow metal loving brethren frequent the rotoworld community.

if you fit that description, let me know who you are and what band/album is currently snapping your neck.

me: the last mastodon and soilent green (not all that new) albums have been fighting for playing time in my house

Wouldn't it consider it "metal" but I've been listening to Oceano's new CD ever since it came out.

i would classify them as metal.

let's throw labels like "deathcore", "black metal", "death metal", "thrash metal", "stoner metal", etc. (i could go on forever) out the window. if a band is heavy, it's heavy...and that's metal to me. you know what i mean?

I listen to mostly metal, although I havn't been listening to anything new lately. I'm only 25 but the older I get the less new stuff I listen too lol. And my Ipod broke awhile back so I havn't been downloading either.

I love me some metal, but am struggling to find anything new.
Lately I've been listening to some Volbeat and still a lot of Slipknot's "All Hope is Gone".

I wanna like Arch Enemy but something about a woman singing like that bothers me. In Flames though is still my favorite band and even though they've changed so much I still love every album they put out. A band you guys should check out if you don't already listen to is the Haunted.

Also a band I'm starting to get into is Opeth I have to be in the mood to listen to them though. But they're alot different from anything I've heard. They go from Death metal to acoustic guitar and a lot of their songs are 10+ minutes long.
