Well,

The first Sonic just opened up in the Boston area and I need to know if it is good, and what to get. I heard the burgers are okay at best but the drinks rock...

I like their grilled chicken wraps as a healthier fast food option. Their breakfast burrito (the bigger one with everything in it) is awesome. Great desserts too.

I have only had a burger and fries from there and the burger sucked...the fries were delicious.

My girlfriend was obsessed with their Mac and Cheese bites, and was psyched that they were coming to Peabody, since the closest was Jersey.... Latest trip to FL we learned they discontinued her mac and cheese bites.... i wasn't impressed with the cheese fries, but thats about all ive tried

My wife loves the Ocean Water, I like the Powerade slush and the limeades. The food is mediocre at best.

Tried it a couple weeks ago at the one on Rt 17 in Jersey. The burger was good (much better than anything McDonalds or Wendy's would try passing off anyway), onion rings were good, and the shake I had, a cherry cream slushy type of drink, was the highlight of the meal.

Get ready for long ass lines if thats the first one in the area. The one right by me is packed ALL the time.

Yea Jersey has like 4 now. Even though like 2 years ago, Jersey didnt have any. Me and some friends took a road trip down to one in Waretown cuz we were tired of seeing Sonic commercials without ever seeig one. lol
Their slushies, popcorn chicken, and mozzerella sticks are very good. And very affordable compared to a lot of places. Not much of a burger person so i cant comment on that.

Tried goin to the one on Rt. 17 about 2 weeks ago as well, but bein that it was a Saturday night, it was full and the cops there just told us to turn out and go somewhere else unfortunatly. So we went to the Red Robin about a mile up.

Since North Bergen got an El Pollo Loco my fast food needs have been met. Completely forgot about Sonic finally coming to Jersey though. I'll have to check it out.

God i miss El Pollo Loco.....Anyways, if Sonic is new to the area, you could have fun with it for a little while. I agree with most above, and their drinks are original and good. I find that (and this goes with pretty much any fast food spot), if you order something custom and it's made while you wait then you're going to have a pretty good experience there. Hope that makes sense, but it true. If you order one of there burgers and somebody slops one together, it's going to be messy and just so/so. If you get it custom, they'll make it right then and it will be hotter and fresher. Like any fast food spot, if you get sonic's fries while they're fresh, then you'll like them. If they've been sitting under the heat lamp, you'll want to take another lap around and get some hot ones. All in all, it's a good change of pace from your typical chains.

El Pollo Loco have any relationship to El Burrito Loco. The latter is a chain in this area and they got pretty decent mexican food and is one of the few places the Bears players actually enjoy in the area when they are here for off-season training.
