Does anyone have a gut feeling on Anquan's health this week/season?

Any news on his status?
hard1
all i can say is ugh...i have him in every league and this on the first week...my gut is he will go, my hope is he doesn't make it worse...

one of those guys that took larry in the first or second round and realize larry is just ok with anquan in the line up i presume...Quan is the real show stopper in arizona... and as long as kurt has his health he has quans number as i am sure he would like to see boldin get paid...

As a Fitz owner last year, I concur with this statement.  This was one big reason I drafted Q instead this year.

i took boldin with my 3rd pick in both my leagues, just hoping he can stay healthy now

Ditto
GJDHouse
Traded Quan in my keeper league for Beanie Wells, Greg Olsen, and a pick upgrade next year. Was hard to let him go, because when he plays he is a complete stud. It sure is nice not having to wonder if I need to start him come week one. My gut feeling personally is that Quan won't play more than 10 games this year, but I have no proof...just my prediction. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have made the trade.
ludawg23
A real shame...one of the league's top talents yet he is always hurt. Doesn't look good having a hammy injury the 1st week of football. Hamstring injuries heal with time and I don't see how he fully recovers if he's on the field running and taking hits

Also, he did not practice today...Friday is an important practice day if he wants to play
TBarber21
Anyone out in Arizona have any updates on Boldin?
alphakenny1
Anquan Boldin (questionable, hamstring) returned to practice in a limited manner Friday, but will be a game-time decision against the 49ers.
The medical staff will decide whether to clear Boldin after watching him in pre-game warmups. Boldin admitted that he'd "rather sit out game one as opposed to sitting out four or five other(s)," which doesn't sound great. The Cards-Niners game isn't until 4:15ET Sunday, so he'll be difficult to wait for if you have less risky options in early games. Steve Breaston (knee) is also less than 100 percent, which potentially positions Jerheme Urban to start.

Not a great start to my season. If Boldin didn't say that then I would think he'd play.

not sure if that's a good thing.......They can shift all the coverage to him.
BoSox04
Great... I dont really want to have to put Bowe into my lineup. Not feeling to confident with him yet. What makes this situation worse, is that its a 4:15 game, so you may have to choose between Q and another WR that starts at 1, a.k.a. Bowe. Except I know Ill start Bowe, and Q will play and go for 80 yards and 2 tds...
Reg202
this would be huge. guy im playing this week has Q. his team got 28 points from holmes last night. plus, I have moss he has brady, so I need somewhere to catchup

It won't be...but Fitz will get hurt because of two words......Madden Curse. Not a believer? Ask Polamalu.
johnnystick77
I know this isn't the Assistant Coach forum, but i'm not taking chances on him. He even said so himself that it doesn't look good for this week. 0 points from a stud vs. limited points with a lower rd pick (all day).
dsgbraves
John Clayton on NFL live said that he doesnt think Boldin will play.
alphakenny1
yea him saying that he'd rather sit one game than sit 5 games isn't all that great. I think I'm going to roll with Harvin this week.
Red Sox Nation
anquan is honestly a type of wr u "handcuff". sounds crazy right? i was decidin between him and marques colston in my round 3/4. i knew id bak one with either steve breaston or lance moore to protect my investment in a top wr. when boldin is down, u have a top 15 in breaston , and vice versa wit moore. (for the record i went with colston cuz his qb is better and has less health concerns). now for boldin, he seems to be of the plaxico burress mold where he doesnt practice that much but then shows up big time on game day. its a situation to watch, but i think even at 80% he's puttin up atlesat 80 yards and a score

johnnystick77
Please play Mr. Boldin

Sincerely,

Everyone that drafted you.

We won't know till gametime huh?

Yes thats what it seems like. Reports said they won't know until game time warm ups. I'm rolling with Harvin. Can't take any chances.
alphakenny1
anyone got the guts to start him? Not me.....
fontaine
Yeah, any news, i own him..
matttrick
why cant we get a simple yes or no. damn.
vin
yes, but he may be limited. rotoworld says he didnt look great in pregame warmups. i think im starting him. i dont want to start steve smith nyg...

thanks for the update, at least we know where he stands. donnie avery is my other option.
hard1
he can't do any worse with 1 catch then the rest of my team has done today....so he is in....
gimmick413
Ugh. What are other Boldin owners doing? I can't possibly sit this stud, can I??

Is Jerheme Urban a better play than Q???

Kelly Leak
I can't even believe he played, how many receptions did he have? Either way I plugged in Lance Moore and he did exactly the same, pretty much nothing.
hard1
out produced like three other morons on my team and he sucked so what does that tell you?

That me and you should find our way to the vent thread? haha
vin
dont fret, boldin owners. our boy will get his.
alphakenny1
yea i wouldn't worry about it. his snaps were limited and the only reason why he suited up was because breaston was not playing. The good thing was that Whisenhunt stated that Boldin didn't suffer any setbacks. Hopefully another week of rest will help him. What I'm more worried about is Warner. Dude looked old and slow.
lavaman
I'm trying to work out a trade where I'd get Boldin.
*crossing fingers*
Gmmr04
Any word if he's going to play tomorrow?
vin
cbs says he is starting....as am i
The Dynasty
Anquan, you are the man. Many on these boards said how they believed you were better than Fitz. I saw the YouTube highlights, I began to believe. I drafted you, your hammy continued to act up, and I doubted. However, I continued to hold on to you. I kept going back to those YouTube highlights. I believed. And, now you are beginning to reward my patience. Thank you, Anquan. Thank you so much.
alphakenny1
Boldin is freaking awesome. also the thing I loved was how many times to did warner throw to him? He had 6 catches but he had to be targeted at least twice that. Fitz is probably a bit better down the field receiver but Boldin is a possession monster + he's an excellent redzone target. When healthy, a big when, he'll probably be at least equal if not better than Fitz fantasy wise.
The Dynasty
Down with a high ankle sprain, per the East Valley Tribune. He's saying he should be back next week, but I've heard that high ankle sprains are tricky. Either way, I'm so happy I was able to pull off an E.Bennett for S.Breaston trade this week.
The Dynasty
Damn, Anquan. You are so frustrating to own. When the hell are you going to be injury-free?
Hero202
Yes this sucks.....I really really don't want to start Santana Moss

My WRs are killing me this year.
jtaylor39
I'm fortunate to have Breaston, actually traded Q away for D. Clark (Don't call me stupid, Clark is a wr in a te category!) have ocho, smith (the good one) so it's like having a 4th wr out there every week. Breaston should have a nice game.
Matt Foley
Given that Boldin will be a game-time decision for the Sunday night game, I'm going to have to bench him. Hopefully Lance Moore can duplicate his Week Six performance.
BoSox04
Lucky for me, I was able to grab Breaston off the waivers, so I hope Boldin can't go and I can roll with Breaston confidently! If Boldin is out, I see a very nice game for Breaston.

unless boldin is active but not doing a ton, could hurt breaston.

Just out of curiousity, because I'm trying hard to get either Larry Fitz or Boldin on my squad, what would Boldin owners accept in return for him in a trade in a PPR league? What is fair value (one player only)?

Breaston has been a pretty solid wr3 all season, he's in line for 1,000yds again this year. This team just doesn't (can't) run the ball so Breaston can still be relevant. I think Boldin will not be 100% and Breaston will get a few more looks than usual this week.

Agreed. He's had plenty of good games this year with Boldin and Fitz in the mix.
Hero202
This keeps getting worse...

He admits he has a high ankle-sprain and Doctors originally told him he would be out 3-4 weeks. Boldin and Whisenhunt are talking about him playing through the injury...which still doesn't sound good for Boldin owners..

Boldin is willing to play through the injury and the Cardinals need him in an away game against the Giants, but he'll be a high-risk fantasy start if he plays.
