Lately I've noticed someone has been trying to sign onto my AIM account and my friend told me he got a text from my screen name saying some crap if he was by his phone than got a text from some ringtone website. So I go to change my password it asked me some safety question about what is my pets name I don't remember what I put because I didn't even have a pet at the time I made this screen name which was 6 or so years ago. Than it asks me what my email was and my birthday I don't remember what I put for either of those like I said it was 6 years ago. So is there anyway I can change my password without knowing these things is there like a support place I could go to?

You could try writing AOL an email telling them your problem and they may be able to reset all of your settings.

You don't remember your birthday? lol.

it sounds like u have a virus that is hacking ur aim...they hack ur messengers and they send out ims to all ur contacts and if they click on it...it will infect their computers too...its actually pretty common...

I'm running on a older version of AIM......which is obviously slower, but I refuse to upgrade. I tried the new AIM, hated it, and went back to the older one.

Since I dont talk to most of the people on my AIM anymore anyways (I really only communicate with 4 or 5 of the people on it on a regular basis on there), I am thinking of just uninstalling AIM and sticking with Facebook chat.

It isn't that I can't remember it, it is that I didn't put down by right birthday. Anyways I can't sign into my screen name at all now it says I have the wrong password.

Really, I thought the new AIM was a huge step forward compared to older versions, at least when comparing it to other messengers like MSN, which is far superior.

Gary, did you change your little AIM avatar to a rhinocerous? Like slim said, it appears you have a virus hacking your AIM.

Yea I did last night and it is Emmure not just a Rhino, but I don't think that was it because I've gotten that notification that someone has been signing on it for a week or so now. Right now I'm about to kill everyone thought because Dr Mcsexy needs to live on.

BTW I'm IMing you from XxgarycorexX so IM me back god damnit.

Well I called their customer support and they can't do crap. So now I'm trying to find a free program that will find out whatever the password has been changed too.
