1039 yds, 8 TDs, and 2 INT through first 4 games... 104.1 QB rating
Good start.

give him a chance everyone has there bad days. az was just able to get in his face enough to fluster him. That's not always the case.
but i will admit makes me think about playing flacco instead

After the past 2 weeks I'm not so confident in Eli anymore.
Think I should package him together with R.Williams or Mendenhall and try to land another starter? I think I can trade for any one of these....
M.Schaub -> #1 QB so far and good schedule
P.Rivers -> nice schedule and the chargers can run in the red zone
J.Cutler -> don't really like his schedule, especially in the palyoffs
J.Flacco -> has yet to play Pittsburgh DEF twice
Any advice?

Depending on what other QB's those teams have, I cannot see getting anyone other then maybe Flacco for that trade.
If someone is dumb enough I would go for Rivers. He is more consistent then Shaub.

I want to say Eli is good, but after Sunday night's game, he's definitely not elite QB. Elite QB's take advantage of one-on-one matchups with 1 safety deep (actually not really even deep, playing 5-10 yds off scrimmage) because the defense has 8 men in the box to stop the run.
Hopefully, he turns it around soon or the NY media is going to destroy him. Then again, he usually has this expression on his face like nothing really bothers him, like a 'aw shucks' look.

does anyone see him stepping up this week at home against the chargers?
I know he has been loosing to some solid teams but can the Giants step up and get a win before there bye.

A lot of people dismissed his foot injury but I think it's pretty apparent that it is bothering him right now. I think he needs time to heal and the whole team is going through a funk. Hopefully he'll get through it.

Idk, the Eli I've seen for the past 3 weeks looks like the Eli we've seen through the first 5 years of his career.
The Eli through the first 5 weeks was a mirage.

Their whole entire offense/defense has been in a funk the last 3 weeks. This is a must win game for the Giants (and the Chargers for that matter), comparable to a playoff game. I think they take out some frustration this week with a steady dose of Jacobs just plowing over the Chargers S-O-F-T run D.
The bye week can't come at a better time for the Giants, for Eli's foot and the banged up Giants D.
I think Eli isn't as good as he showed in weeks 1-5 and not as bad as he shown in weeks 6-8. I think he is solid but nowhere near elite. But the Giants 2009 is completely dependent on their D manning up (no pun intended).

this has been a predictable pattern with eli the past few seasons... he always starts solid, although he was pretty spectacular at the start of this season, but his play starts leveling off and then nose dives around mid season...
