Anyone seen this? It's a low budget movie starring Christian Bale as an insomniac. I don't know much more about it yet other than the fact that Bale lost 65 lbs. to play the role. He looks horrible.

Fantastic movie. Bale was awesome in it. He didn't even need to do the "Batman" voice!

Batman Begins is the film Bale did right after The Machinist, so right after dropping 60+ pounds to look like a skeleton, he had to bulk up to look like a hero. Yikes!

I liked it a lot. One of those mindf&*k movies, along the lines of Memento. Bale's great in it.

I guess I'll be the lone dissenter. Liked the plot but just think Bale is a little overrated. Not just in this movie but overall as an actor. It might be just me so if you liked his acting in other movies then nevermind. But I still thought the movie was worth seeing.
...and im so nice

He did this then went straight to gaining the weight back for Batman.
Doctors actually told him it was dangerous and that it could hurt his health.
In an interview I read he said all he did was eat apples, run cross country, and sit around. He actually admitted he became a insomniac because he used so little energy during the day. Dude is out of his EDIT mind.
If you liked this movies then watch Memento. Such an awesome movie.
Also check out the low budget Pi
