Yes, back to Miles...I see him catching a long TD this week...amongst a couple other catches. I think he is going to play the T.O role on this offense. But we'll see what happens on Sunday

Another big target week for Miles possibly????
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips revealed Friday that he is considering holding Roy E. Williams (ribs) out for Week 7.
Williams has practiced all week, but hasn't looked good doing it. "You can tell he's in pain sometimes during practice, catching the ball," Phillips said. "I think it's lessened as the week has gone along, but we'll see where he is today." How Williams looks in Friday's practice will be a deciding factor. Miles Austin could be a target monster against Atlanta if he can't play.

I hope Williams is out. I hope he stays out. Taking him over Chad Johnson ruined my season. I need Austin to be huge. At 2-4, this is a must win week for me (as are each of the next 2 or 3 after that.

If this happens I will be going with Miles instead of J-Stew at flex this week. Bye weeks killing me and I really dont want to go with both DeAngelo and Stewie so I will be keeping a close eye on this one.

With my luck of picking up WRs after having monster weeks (Michael Clayton, Davone Bess, Kenny Britt, Julian Edelman), Austin is probably going to have a 2 catch, 30 yard day and I'll lose again.

Sounds about right, unless the Falcons went to the Kansas City Chiefs school of tackling. There's also the real possibility that Romo gets him killed before he ever gets going with one of his patented high throws. I'll be nice and upgrade him a little since it looks like Roy Williams won't play. I'll say he plays the entire game without getting injured, ends up with 6 catches for 72 yards with no TD.

That's probably closer to right...He'll have a TD drop I'm assuming too.

Atlanta secondary is really weak and I would not be at all surprised if Austin had 5 rec 80 yds and a score. We'll have to see what happens with Roy Williams, if he does'nt play then Austin has a chance at a really big game. Not 250 kinda big but still nice.

Other than injury, what could stop him? He clearly has the talent and his qb has developed a rapport with him. Roy Williams has been a total flop as a fly route receiver.
After today its pretty clear Austin is Romo's big play guy. He will definitely be in every game for 50+ snaps and will get plenty of targets. I'm sure the coaches feel that his presence is going to open up opportunities for the entire offense.

The thing is, he could be having another huge game. Every time Romo throws to him, Trufant holds him or prevents him from getting to the ball. Theyve already called 3 Pass Interference calls on Trufant. All three balls were very catchable. One was in the Endzone and another was a 30 yard pass.

Feel free to talk me down from this, but I'm considering sitting him this week for Maclin as my WR3 (Housh and MSW as my other two). I'm as high on Austin as anyone is, and as someone who snatched him off waivers, I am really hoping that he establishes himself as a top tier WR.
Frankly, however, I don't think he's done that yet. He's had a string of big games. He is the #1 WR in Dallas. He will get his share of targets. But, has he been really tested yet? Has he shown that he can continue to perform, even with the increased defensive attention that he has now earned? Not really. I'm not saying that he will fail - indeed, I very much hope he continues to perform - but I want to see how he does in these next three games before I make any conclusions.
I'm in a fantasy baseball keeper league. This past season, I rolled out starting pitchers like Zimmermann and Latos. They always started off strong, before anyone in the league had faced them before, but always came crashing back down to earth once "the book was out" on them. I analogize that phenomenon to fantasy football here in the case of Austin. Let's see what he can do now that the book is out on him.
This week will be a good test. He'll have Samuel on him, a DB that has been excellent all season. Don't quote me on this, but I read somewhere out there that Samuel has allowed something like two or three TDs all season.
Austin is perfectly startable this week, but I think I have better options, so I'm sitting him. I've been smote by the fantasy gods for breaking one of their commandments before ("never sit your studs"), but I'm not quite ready to elevate Austin to "stud" (and therefore "must start") status. Grant me mercy, fantasy gods!

Last week he got the same amount of targets that Witten and Roy Williams got. I wouldn't say must start but definitely a good start every week.
KC's , Atl, and Sea cornerbacks are mediocre at best and closer to terrible. Let's see what he does against Samuel and the Philly's tough secondary.
