Did anyone watch the game? How badly was he injured? I know it happened early and he didn't get back in, so could this be a multiple week injury? Any Detroit fans? Any willing to admit it? Latest...
Lions coach Jim Schwartz offered no real update on Calvin Johnson (knee) following Sunday's loss.
"He hurt his knee. We'll see where it is," Schwartz said. "He couldn't go back in and finish. We tried to get a sleeve on it, we tried to get a brace on it and it was a situation where it was still possible -- if he could feel good with it - we would've put him back in the game." Johnson plans to undergo tests on Monday. Look for a "questionable" listing in Week 6.

I saw the game. I think he was hobbling a bit prior to the last play he was a part of. They were in the end zone, and he looked alright running his route. However, after the play was over he kinda limped off the field. They examined his right knee on the sideline... to me it didn't seem that serious (I'm not a Calvin owner... this is exactly what I saw). Obviously it could be worse than it seems, but based on what I saw I would think he'll play next week. Hope this helps.

Yea I saw the play and he was just finishing his route in the endzone and he just started limping after the play was over. He wasn't touched anything really physical. Didn't look serious but you never know.

From this morning.....Doesn't look good for starting this week...
Calvin Johnson (knee) did not practice Wednesday and was spotted "hobbling" during the portion of the workout media has access to.
Johnson was in sweatpants and appeared "stiff-legged" on the sideline. His chances of facing Green Bay in Week 6 aren't looking good. Should Calvin be inactive, Dennis Northcutt and Bryant Johnson would be the Lions' starters.

These scare me the most. Hurt in a pile is usually a sprain/strain. Hurt running alone is usually a tear.

Schwartz calls K Smith's shoulder "significant" and he starts the next week.
Schwartz calld CJ's knee "insignificant" and he can't even walk on it.
I get it now! It's the exact opposite of what Schwartz says! Mystery solved!

Certainly appears that way. The gamblers really need to step up the heat on Goddell. This Belichek crap about non-disclosure or the Mickey Mouse games coaches play are hurting our fantasy teams....

I watched his week 4 game @ CHI (Go Bears!) and he looked beat-up during that game. Didn't see the PIT game but it wouldn't surprise me if he should have sat it out. I'm wondering if his tough mentality coupled with his couch's desire to see him on the field might have turned a small problem into a big one.

I don't think it's serious, but he probably won't be playing this week and isn't worth the risk if he does. Next week Det has a bye so it looks like I'll be searching for a replacement for 2 weeks.

Except he walked off the field under his own power if I remember correctly. Gonzo went straight down and there was no walking after his knee injury. It's probably best he sits this week out anyway. I got a buy low out on him right now, although it's actually a pretty fair deal. I am a little worried about the risks surrounding the injury, but I'm not expecting him to play for two weeks anyways though.

I agree.
I think Detroit is just making sure the only stud they have isn't going to make it worse when he could just take the 2 weeks.
I don't own him but I wouldn't be too scurred.

Don't think he will be starting on Sunday and if he does he isn't worth the fantasy risk. Detroit has their bye the following week. Looks like Mario Manningham is gonn have to do.

Probably not. At least, if they do, the jump will be so insignificant that they'll only matter in very large/deep leagues. Kevin Smith's value probably goes up a few slots.
As a CJ owner in two leagues, I've gone ahead and (temporarily) benched him in favor of Steve Smith NYG in one league and Bernard Berrian in another.

Not good. Not good at all....
Calvin Johnson (knee) was spotted on the Lions practice field Friday still walking with an "obvious" limp.
Johnson missed the workout, only throwing footballs into a trash can from 20 yards away off to the side. His status for Week 8 appears very questionable. Calvin already missed Week 6 with what is probably a sprained knee.

Honestly... this sounds normal to me if he has a sprained knee. Restricted movement always leads to some kind of limp. Mild sprained knee cases heal up in a few weeks. More serious cases require about a month or 2. I think he should be back by week 9 the latest.... hopefully anyway.

He has to play in week 8 or I'm finished. Scratch that, he has to play in week 8 and play like the top tier reciever I drafted him to be. God my team is one massive pile of bust right now.

The actual link says CJ "passed some time" by throwing the balls into the can. So he was simply bored.
