Texans vs. Bengals
Carson Palmer might already have a smile on his face! After seeing what Kurt Warner accomplished in just the first half(roughly like 20/23 200+ yds 2 TDS), the Bengals offensive players could be in line for season high stat lines. Look for big games from Palmer, Chad Johnson(I refuse to call him otherwise), and Benson. For a deep league sleeper, or perhaps bye-week fill in, Chris Henry or Andre Caldwell could have a decent(...break-out) game, meaning, I do think one of these two guys gets td grab next week(maybe both!). On the Texans side, as long as Schaub can stay upright, he should post good numbers as the Texans try to claw back most of the game through the air. AJ, Walter, and Daniels are solid plays due to this fact also, however, I don't see Slaton being much of a factor on the ground, but he could post some numbers creating catches out of the backfield though.
Lions vs. Packers
Another game where I think a QB is licking his chops right now, Aaron Rodgers(...see Big Ben's stat line from last week!) Packers can ill-afford to lose this game, so expect a monster home effort from both sides of the ball. All Packers offensive players are excellent plays this week, although Ryan Grant could have limited upside with the Packers failing to run the ball with any efficiency. For the Lions, I see the Packers selling out like last week to stop the run(see AP's numbers), especially with the fact that they will challenge Culpepper/Stafford, not Favre, to beat their secondary. Due to this fact, if Megatron is healthy, he will probably get multiple shots deep and convert on at least one. Bryant Johnson could also be a sneaky bye-week option fill-in, same for Brandon Pettigrew.
Ravens vs. Vikings
Well without even thinking fantasy, this should just be an awesome game. But on to the important stuff...You can never sit AP obviously, but with Benson running wild last week, I foresee a highly motivated(...borderline angry) Ravens run defense. This will be a boom or bust week for Favre as the Ravens will sell out to stop the run, blitz for every angle imaginable. I would steer clear of most Vikings offensive players this week...Don't be timid about this match up for Ray Rice, he will be the most important offensive weapon for Flacco(...like most games). Rushing yards will most likely come few and far between, but I see Rice having a huge day through the air. Todd Heap could also good TE play here.
Giants vs. Saints
This is also going to be a great game for obvious reasons. Even though both of these defenses have been playing great, I see this game turning into a shoot-out leading to many valuable fantasy plays. This could the week that Lance Moore finally announces himself as a viable fantasy candidate. I don't see either team really gaining a lot of yards on the ground, but there should be plenty of goal-line chances for both teams running backs. Big games await both QB's their respective targets through the air!
Browns vs. Steelers
Well my first thought is, how many points will this Steeler defense score this week!?! Avoid all Browns offensive players unless told otherwise. On the flip side, play just about any Steeler offensive player you can. Even if Willie plays, I see the Steeler's running out big leading to Willie resting and Mendenhall gashing the Browns defense. Mike Wallace will again have a few chances a catching a long td pass, meaning, he could be a very sneaky bye week fill in.
Panthers vs. Buccaneers
I can already hear it! If DeAngelo Williams doesn't have a monster week, fantasy players will be calling for his head. Rest assure, he will a good week, how good? Depends on the carries splits, as usual. But with all the problems in Carolina, if they get there running game going, I see Fox keeping his foot on the pedal and really trying to get both backs humming! Delhomme and Steve Smith make for excellent plays also, especially if the run game gets going. Josh Johnson appears to have great connection with Kellen Winslow, and I don't why that won't continue. On paper this looks like a great match up for Cadillac, but not if the Panthers run defense from last week shows up, not to mention, I see the Panthers dominating time of possession in this one...I think the Panthers Defense is a great play in this one!
Chiefs vs. Redskins
It's hard to tell what you'll get from either one of these teams. This could be a very ugly game, or it could some how turn into a high scoring affair. Bottom line, only start players that seem like you have to in this one...
Rams vs. Jaguars
Both teams will be selling out defensive basically for the same reason, to stop one guy on the other teams offense(Jones-Drew and Stephen Jackson). Neither team has been anything close to consistent to predict anything really, but I do think both backs will end up having excellent days. But this game does hold my "breakout player of the week"...Mercedes Lewis, start him and thank me later! Neither defense looks that good at all, but Jags at home could be a risky but somewhat decent reward play in a pinch.
Cardinals vs. Seahawks
This could look a lot like a game from last week that the Cardinals participated in...The only offensive players that don't have great upside are the running backs as both QBs looked primed to air it out all day long. Both teams starting receivers are great plays in this one!
Eagles vs. Raiders
How the Raiders are still a football team is mind-boggling. Stay away from all Raiders options until they get somewhat of a decent matchup(the next Chiefs game can't come fast enough!) On the flip side, McNabb should put forth a Eli Manning-like performance early on, all Eagles offensive weapons are great plays obviously. But the Eagles player who could have the best day is McCoy. After they get up big he will be fed the ball like his name is Ahmad Bradshaw(...and could easily produce similarly!)
Titans vs. Patriots
If Brady watched Peyton at all, he is probably excited to get on the field and wash out last weeks bitter taste out of his mouth. Titans look life-less as any time they get any momentum their team drops the ball(...literally). Obviously you play Chris Johnson, but outside of that, stay away. I think the Pats put on a Colts like show, and Brady finally looks like Brady.
Bills vs. Jets
Like mentioned in an earlier match up...how many points with this aggressive Jets D put up? I would not want to own any Bills players at this point, or any other point. Sanchez spreads the ball around to figure who is going to have the big game, but he should have the ball plenty times to get just about everyone involved. Play any of your Jets options basically...
Bears vs. Falcons
Interesting head-to-head match ups in this one...Ryan vs. Cutler and Forte vs. Turner...Neither defense looks that good, and for that reason I think this one could turn into a shoot out quickly. Just about any offensive player is a good start in this one...
Broncos vs. Chargers
Who would of thought the Broncos would be sitting on the throne for this division battle? That Broncos offensive line looks absolutely ridiculous, couple that with a poor looking Chargers defense, I see good things in line for the Broncos. However one thing I have noticed, no matter how much the Chargers get down, Rivers will not let them give up, and continues to post great numbers through the air. Chargers run game will be non-existent.
