bdams19
the kids.... they call me mistah glasss!

prob not lol i'm hoping for updates myself
El_Chingon
Mavs fan here....he's practicing but wiith Marion aboard no reason to rush him and risk setting him back, my best guess would be game action in 10-14 days.
fantasymecca
cool, so the report says he might be a few weeks away.

DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said he expects swingman Josh Howard to play within two weeks.

"I think it'll be two weeks at the latest," Cuban said while working out on his StairMaster before Tuesday night's opener against the Washington Wizards.

Should be back in the next couple of games, judging by reports.

I hope my patience in him will be rewarded.

Tim MacMahon (ESPNDallas): Josh Howard is chatting with the Mavs broadcast crew from the bench to begin the second quarter. He could be on the court as soon as Saturday night against the Raptors.

What kind of line do people expect him to produce if he stays healthy?
Yell_42
I actually am feeling very optimistic about Howard.

I have no doubt he will be the clear 2nd option for the Mavs this year, as always.

I laughed so hard at idiots that said Marion will cut into his production.

it wont happen.

I fully expect him to end up playing 70 plus games and averaging close to 20ppg and 5 rpg.

if the ball is in his hands, he's shooting. period.
fantasymecca
damn, setback already? i guess as a josh howard owner setbacks are very normal for him lol.
poopdungbeatle
Well, looks like he's gonna miss a lot of time with his ankle injury.

Time to cut bait?
fantasymecca
I'm deciding right now if I want to keep Josh Howard or Nocioni. Josh Howard is definitely the better fantasy player, but if he's going to be in and out of the lineup all year then I rather have Nocioni. I don't think Howard will be out of the lineup too long, I'm guessing they're just resting his ankles since it's his first game back from surgery. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays next week pending the response from his ankles.

It doesn't sound like he is gonna be out for too long. But as a Kidd and Terry owner I kind of wish he was..

I've been reading the word "shut down" though, so I presume he'll be gone for another 2-3 weeks or so. Also, Dallas is committed to keep Josh off the court until he's 100% healthy. I don't think anyone would use the word shut down and only be gone for a week. This is definitely a short-term setback but I think his current condition warrants a drop. I doubt any managers would hold on to him without real knowledge of his return. This is obviously not the same Howard that went to the All-Star a few years back, but given time for his body to rest it's possible he'll have a productive season.

Shoot... I started him only because of his 4 games this week. Should've just started Thompson with 2. Ah well, hopefully he gets better eventually.
blacknapalm
i just traded terry for andre miller since i thought howard would start to come into form here. hopefully it's not a big deal, otherwise terry has the green light to go off and i'm going to regret the trade, lol
