if he is going to get cooleys catches he is def. worth a look after the buy...esp. if you need help, i know i do i have olsen but he hasn't done anything spectacular or anything of consistant in my mind....

I have Olsen also and you could have just stopped at anything....

Faster, more athletic than Cooley.. hands and awareness are much worse.. blocking, not sure.
Looks to be a 4.6x40 guy.. plays pretty fast(TEwise).

He was recruited as a receiver out of high school, so he has good speed. Real big target. 6'4" 250, but is a real fluid runner. Probably still pretty raw on route-running overall, but pretty good for a tight end. This guy was a playmaker at USC. As a junior and senior, I thought he was by far the best tight end in the country. He just always seemed to get open in the red zone. Not much of a blocker. The Redskins will play better the rest of the year than they have thus far... not sure how much better, but it will be better. He has had issues in the past with knowing his assignments, which could really hamper him. But, they have to play him. I think he's the biggest playmaker on that offense now. Campbell seems to like him, and nobody else on that team can get open consistently. If they put him on the field every down (which is an "if"), I can easily see him matching Cooley's yardage numbers. I really think Davis can put up low #1 TE numbers while Cooley is out.

I got him. I have been through quite a few TEs this year so I am hoping he can be more of a mainstay. Right now I am starting Scheffler. Might play him against Dallas in two weeks.

I'm on board. I was impressed with him in the Eagles game. They really don't have a big receiver like him now that Cooley is out. I think he could see a lot of targets, especially in the red zone.

Atlanta gives up a ton of production to opposing TE's and Campbell loves throwing to TEs.
Davis is in for a big week.

it's Davis and Boss for me now that Daniels is out for the season.
i am hoping that Davis can be a low-end TE1, with the way that Campbell seemed to be targeting Davis constantly.
Here's hoping he isn't just the next Redskin that ends up sucking. But I'm holding out hope. That offense is terrible - the only thing possible is dump-offs.

Me too.
I have Finley out hurt so I'm rollin' w/Davis.

I believe his blocking skills were holding him back from a more productive role in the offense (not to mention Cooley)! I have added him in several leagues that I owned Daniels in so I'm hoping he can get me 5 to 8 points a game.
I will be curious to see what role he plays in the offense this week. The Skins have a tough stretch coming up.

I had Keller as a backup to Daniels in one league. I was going to try and pickup Davis to fill in for his bye. However, Matthew Berry just touted him as a pickup on NFL Live, so now I'm hesitant to make the move

Got Celek in a trade so Davis is on the bench this week, but maybe I can trade him to Daniels' owner if he plays well.

maybe you could trade celek if davis plays well and get more...celek has been doing it all year fred only two games, brent may bring more if that guy really needs a TE is all i am thinking

Daniels' owner is a Texans fan and a moron and is going to play with his backup and no one else...What a jackass.

If all of my players perform at or close to their ESPN projections, and Fred Davis repeats what he did last week, I think I'll break my league's scoring record.
This would be great, because my team's only weakness (which is weird to say since I'm 3-5) is at TE where Zack Miller has been crap.

With Daniels down, I'm left with Davis and starting him with...confidence!
