Has anyone heard if Raja/CHA have made any decisions on surgery on that wrist? From the CHA Observer he stated that he can move it well but he's worried about contact with it from the likes of Kobe, etc... Sounds like he's worried about further injuring the wrist. I've been looking online today and nothing yet.

If he does elect to play, here are a couple of thing to consider:
1. The Bobcats have decided not to give him a new contract. He has something to play for. Might be a factor on his surgery decision too.
2. If his wrist bothers him, it could significantly affect his performance.
3. The Bobcats signed Flip Murray in the offseason. I believe he will affect Bell's minutes. So will DJ.

And the news is out
Bobcats guard Raja Bell is putting off surgery on his left wrist and (in a best-case scenario) could be playing in about a week.
Impact: The plan is for Bell to practice to the extent that he can tolerate the pain. He can shoot, but passing is painful and he might have trouble being physical on defense. If the injury fails to improve, or gets worse, he can have an exploratory surgery (keeping him out 4-to-6 weeks) or full corrective surgery (as long as four months). This is disappointing news for owners of D.J. Augustin, though he should still have a solid Week 1.

I don't know if it's the wrist, but 3pts 1/8 and 3 turnovers in 28 minutes is unacceptable. I'm in a deep 16 team league and I'm not sure wether to keep him or drop him. I think I'll give him one last chance.

Um, he has a lingering wrist injury and it's his first game of the year?
You should give him a few more chances. I'm in a similar league and I'm not even thinking about cutting bait yet. 28 minutes is very encouraging.

for most people, id say u can probably cut him, he'll probably end up having surgery anyway. however if you're in a deep league, there's no way u cut him.

Why not?..
Well if his production continues to bring more negative value then positive then I'd rather drop him. There's always good free agents out there, I don't care what league you're in..

I'm guessing that Raja is not going to shoot 1 for 8 every single game. If this were the case, however, you would be right.
Also, I would love for you to see the waiver wire in my 16 team, 14 player league. It's absolutely dreadful. The best players are Chaz Bell, Solomon Jones, and Anthony Carter. Definitely no better options that what last year's Raja Bell would give you.

I'm starting to f*(&^ing hate Bell. Why doesn't he just call it a season and stop messing with younger studs minutes.
He screwed Augustine and now he's screwing Morrow (who I'm about to drop).

he can still play and the warriors are still short handed. once a few guys come back i'm betting bell gets the surgery. anyway, raja is worthless on that team. he's a gaurd, and golden state already has 30 others gaurds.

Raja is a warrior.
Kevin Martin, not so much.
Anyways he's standing in the way of some of the younger guys but that won't last long, everybody should be happy that he's going to take the surgery route eventually. I could have seen Nellie giving him major minutes this year if he was actually healthy.

In the local news here, it says that's it for Bell. The surgery is planned already and it's very soon.
