Guys,

What's the best fantasy football provider? And why? I am new to fantasy football.

Wow Ive always played on Yahoo so i can't answer the poll. However i figured ESPN would have more votes than yahoo.
MrQuestions
CBS.

I've played on all 3 and it blows them away.

That said, I've only played the CBS version that you pay for so it's not apples to apples.

ESPN does the free scoring, last year Yahoo wanted money for that.

Don't know if they changed...

Yahoo has now free scoring too, although it has some minor bugs.

Imho Yahoo beats ESPN & CBS by miles. Way more stats, any type of custom settings, clear interface, you can set your lineups weeks in advance, shiny trophies and much more active people.

CBS is good too, but their add/drop system is simply a joke. A tiny list where you can easily choose the wrong player if you are not extra carefull.

a tiny list? that hardly constitutes it being a joke. if you hit the button on the wrong guy, it's your bad; it clearly states who you want to add and drop.

cbs has all the custom settings as well, including 'shiny trophies'.

it does not allow for setting of lineups in advance, but that doesnt matter when you have a whole week to do it. it's not like it is daily baseball, in which cbs does have the feature.

cbs is the best for leagues of friends who play every year and like to trash talk. being able to add stories with A/V content is a big thing for my friends and i.

anyway, i think this thread should be locked. this has been rehashed x10. and i thinik i got duped into helping with someone's market-research.

I have leagues in all 3 and CBS is the worst of the 3. Then factor in that the other 2 are free and CBS still has suckers paying and there's no competition.

That being said, all 3 are pretty standard scoring with a few differences. But they have been able to accomodate those differences. If you want an IDP keeper league, I can't answer.

But in basically standard leagues, there is no reason to pay for a service you can get just as good for free.

I've always done yahoo and loved it. This year I did a CBS league and I hate the layout. Absolutely hate it. When I go to my league home page there is just too much going on. And like someone previously said, the add/drop is not as easy to use as yahoo IMO.

I also feel the same about the league home page on ESPN. Give me Yahoo any day.

If you're in a money league, CBS is the way to go I think. This is my first year playing on CBS, also my first year playing for money. That being said, I played fantasy Baseball and fantasy Football on CBS and I really like it.

As far as the other leagues I'm in playing for fun, Yahoo is the way to go.

You should try calling cbssports.com. Ive been playing there for years and I love it. They are cutting some amazing deals right now for new leagues coming over from other sites. just call them up and tell them youre coming over from another site and you want a good deal. A buddy of mine got his new league for free.
