QUOTE (jsp2014 @ Nov 3 2009, 05:44 PM)

Devin plays like a warrior and has proven he can play through pain. he came back last year to make a final playoff push, when he could've listened to doctors and sat out the season. playing through injury 1 week into the season would be irresponsible, and he'd be without his speed and quickness anyway. as terrible as they are right now, at least he'll be back in a couple of weeks hopefully 100%.
(obv i am very touchy about my boy Devin!)
My favorite sports quote EVER by the warrior himself (per cbs)....
Harris sat out Saturday night's game against the Wizards and will leave the Nets' road trip Sunday to see a specialist in Chicago. Harris said he's aiming to return in seven to 10 days. "Maybe longer," he said. "It's not going to be shorter." Harris originally hurt the groin in an exhibition game on Oct. 13 and reinjured it during Friday's loss to Orlando
After his visit with the specialist, Harris will head to New Jersey. He said he wants to make sure the injury is completed healed before he returns. "When I come back, I have to feel nothing - nothing at all," Harris said. Asked if he was afraid the injury was major, Harris groaned. "No, of course not," he said, knocking his hand on his wooden cubicle. "Seven to 10 days"
Yeah he's a real gem. He makes it sound as if he's the first professional athlete to ever play through pain.
I think we have to face facts here man...your boy got his payday and in essence, thats priority number one

All the talent in the world, but you cant help but question the heart and attitude of a guy to make quotes like this. I mean does he have his PhD or something and we don't know about it? Come on Devin!
