Chris Johnson's ridiculous day against JAX overshadowed the fact that White got 14 carries. That's a good thing. I think the Titans will be going back to Smash and Dash after abandoning it the first half the season. White has some tasty match ups against Buffalo and Houston and I think will be a very strong Flex play.

Grab this guy. This is his last chance to make an impression before free agency.

problem is the titans aren't that good! and neither is L. White.

it's too late for him to be an impact.

I dropped him, sent him to the waiver wire, have no regrets.

Don't mean to burst your bubble but:

1. White got 13 carries
2. White got 7 of his carries on the last 2 drives of a blowout. Something we like to call "mopup" duty.
3. Last year White split the carries almost 50-50 with CJ...this year it's CJ with more than 2 carries for every Lendale carry.
4. CJ just had another huge game and is averaging 7.6 ypc compared to Lendale's 3.8 ypc.

Abandoning "Smash and Dash" is not what caused the Titans to struggle...it's their awful and injured secondary along with the loss of Haynesworth that have caused the Titans to struggle. Smash and Dash is not coming back. White is just there to keep CJ fresh.

I think it had alot more to do with the fact the Titans were blowing the Jags out. White had 4 carries throughout the first 3 quarters. Does that sound like someone thats splitting carries with someone or coming in during mop up time?

And another thing CJ is the best RB without the initials AP or MJD

He's still worth a roster spot in 12 team leagues, and is a must handcuff in 10 teamers.

I don't think its too crazy to call Lendale a sneaky pickup. He's a beneficiary of a winning Titans team. They just happened to be doing that a lot more last year. If they can get back to respectability and win the games they're supposed to people could do worse than have him in your flex spot, especially at home v. the Rams in Wk 14, which is most leagues 1st round of the playoffs.

Agreed. We know Fisher's MO - if they get back to "Titan Football".......neither the coach nor Lendale were fired for the 0-6 start - they're both still there.

As a CJ owner, I sincerely hope White stays where he belongs the 2d half of the year -- warming the bench. Except for a play or two when CJ needs a breather after a 40 yd run.


This is the last year of White's contract and he's obviously not going to be re-signed. The Titans will be mathematically out of the playoffs shortly, and are trying out a new QB. In other words, it's time to build for next year. Thus under the circumstances, I don't don't see White getting anything more than a few token carries to keep CJ fresh.

CJ's value is back up because he's doing exactly what he need to do to score TD's - run them in from 20+ out. He has 4 TDs in 2 games. Lendale will be a factor at the GL. Why would they put CJ in at the GL. Contract issues aside, it's not going to affect their strategy.

Agreed, and Lendale is still the goal line/short yardage back from what I can tell so he can be an emergency fillin guy if needed in a bind.

That sounds a lot like how they used Lendale in 2008. The difference is they aren't blowing anybody out this year.

Why on EARTH would anyone want LenDale White??? Has anyone been paying attention at all to how he plays? First off, he gets no work because of CJ. I drafted him, and kept him on my roster until his bye, and he got me absolutely nothing!! If you're hoping he'll match his stats from last year than I don't know what to say, maybe you're just inexperienced or not looking to win.

He gets no goal line work because the Titans are awful.

I'm in a 14 team league and we all struggle for RBs, but White has been a FA for a while now and NO ONE is going for him.

I think I'd rather have him than Jerome Harrison, Fargas, Moats, or Forsett. There is no reason why he shouldn't be on somebody's bench (preferably yours).

FYI, Lendale is now just a handcuff for those that weren't watching. CJ got all the red zone and goal line work. White was used just to give CJ a rest once in awhile.....

That still makes him rosterable in most 12 team leagues. When I made the remarks above, it had nothing to do with starting on weeks that CJ is playin.

Wasn't responding to your post specifically. Just passing on some info for those that didn't get the opportunity to see the game (and who would have wanted to?). He did get one attempt from the 2 yard line but was unsuccessful....If CJ goes down then he definitely has value and has a good matchup next week, but this isn't the same playing time situation as last year....
