Flying out to Denver to watch the Broncos beat up the Steelers on MNF, so getting my picks in earlier than normal. Anybody been to Invesco with some good tips? I'm in Section 231.


11/8 1:00 ETAt Jacksonville-6.5 Kansas City 42: This line worries me as I think it should be higher, but I'll bite. The Chefs are a bad team on both sides of the ball and now they're defense will be without it's starting FS? Give me the Jags. Look for MJD to go off as head coach Jackoff Del Rio has put the blame on last week's 8 carry effort squarely on his...quarterback's shoulders. With a steady diet of Jones-Drew, KC will have to stack the box and leave their slow, poor-tackling secondary in man coverage. Even though Jax doesn't get much pressure on opposing QB's, I think the Chiefs O-line is bad enough where they can get after Cassel.

11/8 1:00 ETGreen Bay-10 At Tampa Bay 43.5: Tampa just isn't very good, now it turns out they've had over 25% of their team sick since they got back from London. My only concern is Green Bay lets up midway through the third quarter and Tampa backdoors the spread but I'll take my chances. The Packers defense will be looking for redemption after giving up so many points at home last weekend and I anticipate them taking one back to the house.

11/8 1:00 ETAt New England-10.5 Miami 47: I keep wanting to hate on this Dolphins team but they always find a way to stay in the game. I know the Hoodie will have a plan to slow the Wildcat and make Chad Henne beat them (which he can't) but I think this Miami team will find ways to move the ball. Tom Brady is looking good as of late but I think the Phins can get after him and disrupt his timing.

11/8 4:05 ETAt New Orleans-13 Carolina 52: Scary to go against a Saints team that can score at will but I think Carolina covers in this one. Look for the panthers to pound the ball nonstop and work to Steve Smith for third down conversions. I do think they can be successful running against New Orleans and if they can avoid getting behind early and abandoning the run they can cover.

11/8 4:15 ETAt San Francisco-4 Tennessee 41: I love finding a matchup of two teams moving in opposite directions and I think this is one of them. I know the Niners played the Colts tough last week but if you watch the game Peyton Manning just seemed off. A heavily bet favorite finding a way to keep the score close and allow a cover? Hmmm... I know the book has been getting pounded but they wouldn't do anything fishy to make up for losing millions and millions of dollars, would they? Anyway, I like the Titans to build on the momentum of last week and find ways to contain the Niners offense. If San Francisco starts playing in a spread and throwing the ball 35-40 times a game this could go a different way but I think Mike Singletary is stubborn enough for that not to happen.
