This is the sole reason why I didnt swap Rose for Harris. Whens the last time Harris played anywhere close to a full season.
Thats Ridiculous

Code of Hammurabi

i love Devin but glad I put my teams over my heart at draft time this year. that boy cannot stay on the court. the worst part is he can't even bulk up because any loss of speed and he's not a special player anymore.

as a Brook owner, I'm not happy about this at all. Terrance Williams should benefit now too. they have 0 to play for so it's time to see what the kids can do.
as a Nets fan, i just puked in my mouth at the thought of watching them for the next month.

I read 2-4 weeks and not out for a month+ longer.

Rafer Alston should be picked up in almost all leagues with this news, he's going to be playing a lot and now that Harris is hurt, he basically has no competition for PG.
I think this injury also will benefit Lopez, Williams and of course CDR.

Kicking myself for not picking up CDR this morning. Just as I made up my mind, he was gone.

Well you didn't read enough. The kid has been saying absolutely everything his owners don't want to hear. He really sounds as though he doesn't care, repeatedly saying he will not return to the court with even an ounce of lingering pain and will shut it down for as long as it takes. I wouldn't expect him back any less than 4 weeks.

Ya whats with the quotes? I mean, I hate these keyboard tough guys who call out pro athletes for not playing through an excruciatingly tough injury. But why let those namby-pamby quotes fly? What's the point? He obviously is a player who feels like he needs to be close to 100% to give it a go, which is fine, but he has to know those quotes will make him seem soft. He should have just kept resting, stayed silent, and come back with a vengeance. Instead, he's opening up questions about his motivation as well as his mental and physical toughness.

So glad I traded for this fool at the beginning of the season thinking he was working thru the injury. Thanks for sucking it up Devin. I drafted Lee and along the way picked up CDR & Alston since it is a pretty deep league. Needless to say those 3 just crushed my FG% last night. I have 4 Nets on my roster now, ouch! It would be great to contend having 4 guys from the Nets, but man these guys gotta make some shots sometime SOON.

Look at his line against Charlotte.
45 mins, 2pts, 5 assists on 1-8 shooting. That is GARBAGE. It's lines like that that make me not want to run out and grab him.

Rafer's always been prone to put up clunkers. He's extremely inconsistent. But unless you're in a shallow league, guys getting 45 mpg aren't easy to come by, and Rafer's not exactly unproven.

On yahoo:
G Devin Harris is getting close to a return from his right groin strain. He has only played two games and was hoping to play Wednesday in Milwaukee but admitted Saturday is more realistic.
I will have 10 players with Harris, who can play today, and only 9 Spots for Starts.

CBS shows Harris came in off the bench for 3 minutes, and then went right back to the bench. Seems like an awfully short, did he re injure himself? No foul trouble to worry about either BTW.
EDIT: Shows he just checked back in as I posted that.

He looks good, and has been aggressive going to the basket and pushing the ball up the floor. His quickness is definitely there, and outside of his conditioning, it looks like he's 100%.

Heh yeah I got screwed with the early start as well. Left Harris and/or Alston on my bench, although I probably would have rolled with Skip to my Lou and he's doing squat.
Damn early games/hangover!
