Rusty Shackleford
Tyler with 13 pts & 5 rebs in a brief 13 minute NBA debut.

Did anyone watch this game? How'd he look? Is this a sign of things to come?

Also very interested in the opinions of anyone who saw the game. He's currently on waivers in my deep league. Wondering whether to wait until he becomes a FA and hope no one grabs him. Or might just burn my waiver posi on him.
Anyone who saw the game, your opinion would be much valued.

I picked him up as speculative add in my dynasty, but it looked like garbage time vs. wizards + no murphy + no foster. I wonder if he'll see minutes once those guys are both healthy.

Actually he played in the first half. They plan to limit his minutes initially since essentially he has to work himself into game shape. The coach mentioned 15 minutes per game on his radio show. It is really difficult to gauge his value since he missed the preseason. He has value in deep leagues (14 teams or greater).

Thanks, do you think he will get minutes when Murphy/Foster come back?

I am not sure even the coach knows how everyone will play together. I think he will find minutes. The question is how many and his role. My guess is that most nights he will come off the bench, at least for a while. Murphy has such great range and is aggressive enough on the boards that it will be difficult to keep him off the floor.

I think Hansbrough is best suited to play the 4. However, I think it would be better if Granger played the 4. Granger is quicker than most PFs and strong enough to play down low. Also, I would like to see Granger drive to the basket more. Over 1/2 of his shots have been 3 pointers. It doesn't matter because I think most of the PF minutes will go to Murphy and Hansbrough.

I think Foster's minutes will be down this season. He will probably get more time at center, especially on nights when Hibbert gets into foul trouble or when they are playing smaller quicker teams.

Hansbrough is best suited for a bench role right now. I could see him geting 15-20 off teh bench providing a spark for their offense. His college stats were dominant because he was able to use his power to score, but in the nba it will be much harder. He has great tenacity and plays without fear and that alone will allow him to receive some playing time. I dont think hes worth a roster add just yet for 12 teams and under, but for 14th and over its a good speculation add.
