I'm assuming that he will be the starter for the Bungles next week if Watson's concussion is too severe. It seems like Rudi Johnson is still going to be injury plagued next week and maybe after that. I think its a few games off before Rudi or Kenny will be ready to be the starter again. So let me be the first to say that I am taking a runner on Dorsey next week vs. the Bills. I know Perry is supposedly coming off the PUP, but I'm somehow not worried about him right away. I don't know, maybe Corey Dillon comes back to play for them in the near future. But I picked up Dorsey for now. And besides... I only had to drop them Browns D for him. They were my bye week filler last week, unfortunately.

Anyway...what do you guys think?

Watson should play, and Rudi may return. Dorsey may be worth a shot, but I don't see him factoring in against BUF.

honestly, this has got to be a really DEEEEEEEP sleeper pick.
word is watson should be good to go... we'll see how practices go this week i guess

looking at the team in your Sig...how many Rb's do you guys start? unless you guys are starting like 4 of them, i dont even see why you would want him, unless it is to keep another team from getting him(if he even plays).

Mmmmmmm... Yeah, kind of... Rotoworld seems not to want to even think about mentioning his name, so that could be a bad sign... But if I owned Kenny Watson, I wouldn't put full reliance on him this week... He did after all suffer a concussion.

1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR flex, 1 WR/TE flex, 1 K, 1 Team Def

Our draft consisted of 12 teams drafting 20 players each... So our league goes pretty deep.

I fully acknowledge that I'm stacked at RB and WR probably... But, Sammy Morris is hurt, I've been dealing with Maroney, Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams (who I acquired via trade) are done for the season... The point is, with all circumstances considered, and who actually plays, my bench really isn't that deep... I just want to have enough guys that are healthy to play. The wire is pretty much bled bone dry on every position.

I just figure that if I'm going to get screwed on having to use Cleveland as a defense and ETC. at the QB and TE positions, while somebody is hurt or having their bye....why should I leave RBs for anyone else if their top guy goes down? They would do it to me, so I just try to make moves to stay ahead of the game. My team is a shell of how good it looked on paper, because of all the injuries I've taken...I was not shown any mercy, so I don't show any mercy...I lead the league in overall points and am trying to make a comeback just to get a playoff birth... pretty ridiculous.

thats cool, it is definately better to have more options than not enough. deep leagues can be alot of fun, especially in basketball.

Unless you're in a keeper league, Ronnie Brown shouldn't be on your roster.

I know this. I'm just waiting to drop him, so it doesn't count as two roster moves. We'll just consider him an empty slot until an injury to a valuable player occurs and someone else's backup is available.

Update: Rudi practices and will probably start vs. Buffalo

Rudi Johnson (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since September 19 and is expected to play Sunday against the Bills.
Kenny Watson (concussion) isn't practicing, so if Rudi makes it through the week unscathed, he could play a prominent role in a favorable matchup. The Bengals haven't made a decision on activating Chris Perry (ankle, leg) from the PUP list yet. The only other tailback on the roster is DeDe Dorsey. Oct. 31 - 12:46 pm et

the dude has been a HUGE bust this season. 1st round pick in just about every league. Let's hope we can count on him down the stretch.

ala Laurence Maroney. This is unfortunate news that Johnson will probably be back this week for me.

Doesn't say he'll start. Just says he's expected to play. If Watson goes, it'll be interesting to see what happens. Not unusual for a player to take off the first couple of days of practice during the week, but it is a concern. This may have been the window Rudi owner's need, but if he sucks against BUF, you might as well drop him.

I wouldn't say he's droppable just yet even with a stinker vs. Buffalo. He's got a proven track record and Watson doesn't. At worst he'll split time with Watson and be a decent RB3 IMO.

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis says Rudi Johnson and Kenny Watson will rotate in Week 9 because of concern over Johnson fatiguing in the game.
Johnson is coming back from a four-week hamstring injury, and while he'll play, is only worth using as a flex at Buffalo because he's expected to see half the workload at best. "We want to make sure we’re not going to overload Rudi at this point," Lewis said. Rudi practiced fully on Wednesday.
