Over the course of the season Przy has fallen into the bottom of the FA bin, he was a popular pick up and late round draft pick when it looked like he would get some PT next to Aldridge - his first game did nothing but solidify that thought. But with the sudden insertion of Channing Frye he has lost all minutes and predicting his PT/Production is impossible.
Joel had a strong showing today (by his standards this season), where it was obvious that the Blazers need someone bigger and stronger to guard Dwight Howard so they sat Channing "The Soft One" Frye on the bench. I'm not sure what Nate is trying to do with the starting lineup but Joel gives them big toughness, rebounding, and a shot blocking presence. Channing Frye is basically Pau Gasol but with no offensive game, I would keep my eye on Joel to see if he re-emerges as the 30MIN-Center option in Portland - if he does he could post serviceable FG%/REB/BLK numbers.

I'm not advocating picking him up, he could very well be useless the next time the TrailBlazers trot out onto the court. His PT is up in the air and no one knows what Nate sees in Channing Frye, all I am saying is to keep him on your radar. Viable center options are VERY scarce on the WW, if Joel can amount to anything he could be very useful to your team (I myself are in need of a producing C-eligible player as well).

Nate McMillian seems to be fairly pleased with Frye's 6 points, 3 rebounds average... Now I think about it, Portland's starting PF and C amount to 13 feet 10 inches, yet they only average 12 rebounds together. Ouch...

there was really no good reason to take przybilla out the starting lineup. they needed him to protect aldridge defensively. even in his limited minutes przy has still looked good. IMO he's looked the best hes looked in a while, but i think nate's got orders to develop the players which includes frye (who's hopeless). the blazers gotta see if they got something other than shorter contracts in return for the z-bo /francis deal. frye's not the main reason why przybilla lost minutes. its nate's decision to play outlaw at the four and go small for long stretches that has really made przybilla useless.
i still think przybilla is worth owning but you have to know when to start him. you start him when the blazers are facing a beast on the inside or big front lines in general. sooner or later nate will have to realize that frye is a lost cause and a bad fit playing next to aldridge. if they wanna keep LA out of foul trouble and maintain defensive continuity, przy will have to see more minutes.

I wouldn't drop Bynum... He's too valuable to put into the FA market, I'd just wait out the 2 weeks. If you are just talking about replacing his production and dropping another player i'd go with Pryzilla.

Hes out for 8 weeks. You have to judge your situation. If you feel your team can float around winning 5-4 or so for the next 8 weeks, hold onto him. If not, you might have to abandon ship. Who else can you drop?

Thing is that I'm 1.5 games back for first, first place pays $300 and the winner of the playoffs only gets $50. Second pays $150, so I think its in my best interest to get value right now. I offered him up in trades, but one owner got so pissed off I offered him for Drew Gooden LOL. Anyways we went back and forth arguing and I easily won the battle.
