Full Version: Use #2 waiver on Calderon?

12 team roto, 8 cat (no TO), very competitive/active, waiver wire is really thin.

Should I use a #2 waiver to pick up Calderon? His last two games have been off, anybody have a take on this? If Ford going to get most the min again?

I'm in a dogfight for 1st place with two other teams. Cats I'm looking to move up in are ast/stl/3's/ft% (I have an 11 or 12 in fg%/rbs/blks/pts), though realistically the only cats I can move up in are 3's/ast/stl.

My team:
pg: Felton, Nelson, Watson, Head
sg: Kobe, Kapono, Jasikevicious
sf: Vince, Odom
pf: Brand, Haslem
c: Bogut, Darko

Would prob drop Jasik for Calderon, but don't want to burn a #2 if he's only going to get 20 min. Thanks for any advice.

Post your top 20 FA's.

Calderon will likely split minutes with Ford for the rest of the season. I wouldn't waste a number 2 waiver on him.

well I just picked up Foye and dropped Jasikevicious, and will likely see if Calderon slips through on Tues. before picking him up. My intuition says a #2 is too high for Calderon (esp if he's splitting min with Ford every game), and high waiver priority has hisorically come in handy down the stretch run when solid players are dropped. Thanks for the input bloodface and Sal...

btw the top FA pick ups are (in order of ownership on espn...):
calderon
zo
francis
warrick
barry
haywood
dampier
shareef
harris
frye
walker
stack
caroll
jwillnaz
bonzi
lue
rotoking
dont waste time

The Foye pickup was the exact right move. Let Calderon go.
