I'm facing AP this week and wondering what you guys think I'm up against with him playing a weak Bears run D. Is 150yds / 2TDs too conservative?

hes been stellar overall, but after his performance last week.... he could easily have 80 and 1, 45 and 1, 100 and none
chester has been playing well so he-ll certainly see some carries

I think 120 total yards and 1 TD seems about right. Chester Taylor is putting together a really nice season, so I could see Taylor out-produce Peterson again. And I expect Purple Jesus to out-produce Black Jesus (the other Adrian Peterson) by about 10 points.

You're obviously not his fantasy owner. LONG LIVE THE JESUS!

I think AP is hit or miss against the bears. If the game gets out of hand early look for Taylor to get the majority of the carries and purple jesus will probably end up riding the bench. If its close, purple jesus will probably go for 2 td's and 200 yds

Actually, I could call him that if I liked it. I won my first round of fantasy against AP...he saved my azz.

Ditto.
And my roster was so decimated by injury I had to roll the Other Adrian Peterson as my flex player.

Do I start both AP and Chester (over KJ, Norwood) in the same backfield for Rd 1 of the playoffs?

Heh heh, man, if that prediction ends up being correct, you should just go right to Vegas.
Chester is a quality backup (I've seen him play about 20 games now). Purple Jesus is a superstar. Playing on MNF. Against a team with nothing to play for. Whom he torched for 220 yards and 3TDs last time.
I am a little less confident starting him (over the likes of SJax) after last week, and given the Vikes' trend of blowing teams out in the first half lately.

I think its funny that some of you are questioning whether to play him or his ability after 1 bad game, & he is a rookie, ROFL

It might be the worst nickname in sports right now. I wonder how many Hindus, Buddhists, Jews and the infinite other religions feel about drafting a guy who's nickname means absolutely nothing of value to them. I guess Sage Rosenfels can be the Texas Moses.

AP's tough to predict because he needs to break one or two long ones to have respectable stats for the week. I would bet on him having a good week against the Bears though. Steve Hutchinson is an amazing guard, and he basically made Shaun Alexander a top fantasy player, so I think he can handle the Bears D-line.

Same here. I had my team at full strength last week against Team Brady and all I needed from him was a measly seven points.

Did you watch the game? The 'Niners basically dedicated 8 guys to him every time he was on the field. The O-line wasn't prepared for that, couldn't adjust. Didn't need to, because Chester had that nice run, the D was playing well and the passing game was a cinch because they had nobody left to stop the recievers. Also, despite not having the greatest overall run defense, they are one of, if not the best, team at stuffs, and since they put so much effort into stuffing Adrian, he had no chance to get beyond the line of scrimmage.

AP has ticked me off all year. Every time I've taken him out, he gets 24+ points in my league. I put him back in, and he racks up .3, or something else pathetic. I'd call him the purple inconsistent.

I don't see how AP doesn't have a monster game. First off, he's pissed about last week and secondly and perhaps more impotantly, this is his first ever primetime game. I dont care how you slice it, certain guys get up for Sunday and Monday night games. And lets not sugarcoat it guys, the Bears have all but mailed it on the rest of this season.
That being said, I think he goes off for about 170 and 2 TDs, with one of them probably coming on a about a 50 yarder.
