The bobcats signed Boykins, he's there to be the backup. Jeff Mcginnis got no action tonight (and even without Wallace the team played great offensive bball in the first half, there was no Mcginnis there to kill the offense) he was DNP-CD, and he was healthy. This means Felton is finally the primary PG, and his backup will be Boykins. Now, his value is very very low right now, so if you can trade for him without giving up much do it. Hell, in some leagues he is on the waiver wire. At the very worst he will give you what he was doing at the beginning of the year (15 and 8). See how Vincent goes about things on Monday vs the Suns, if Jeff sees no time Felton's value will dramatically increase in the next few weeks. Boykins will not effect Felton, if they play together, Boykins will assume that scoring guard role.
Felton tonight: 14 points (7-18), 9 assists, 1 TO, 2 stls

Err, I don't think there was any doubt that Felton was the PG of the Bobcats - if he wasn't he was still going to play big minutes. He always has an asterisk by his line because of his semi-high TO and low FG%.

I really like how Felton plays through his injuries. Even though he has been underperforming compared to (perhaps unrealisitic) projections for most of the season, his assists have been great and he's starting to turn things around a little (lower turnovers, a little better fg%, etc). I predict good things in the second half for Felton.

God I hope so. I've managed to lose my huge AST lead in my league. Partly to this guy forgetting he was a PG.

well......they cut Jeff and NOW Felton is the starting PG. Since cutting Jeff they are 5-1, and Felton has been playing great.
Felton's numbers since Jeff Mginnis left:
Bos: 22 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists
Tor: 17 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists
Min: 14 points, 10 assists
Atl: 22 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists
Was: 14 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 steal, 1 block
This is without Gerald Wallace too. If Okafor could catch and finish, Felton would have had three 15+ assists games (Bos, Was, Min)

was mcginnis a ploy to motivate felton? the bobcats org is a joke
regardless, felton is finally living up to his billing the last month or so although is FG% is still horrid

Yea, I've been loving his play lately. Just have to take the good with the bad.

against Kidd and Dallas, he was the only Bobcat who played well.
21(8/14) points, 6 assists, 3 steals

The 4 turnovers drops that line down a notch.
