HE's been shooting terrible lately. Bet I could have gotten a J.Rich for him....

...can you believe every night there's some impatient owner posting a thread like this.
It's his first game coming back from back injury...

Only one game has he shot 50%....its called research...try it before you reply...FYI his boards have gone way done as well.
Since Dirk has been playing better Howard has been settiling for jumpers instead of attacking the rim. I'm not impatient...I'm one of the dumb a$$es that held foye for 2 months.

His PPG, RPG, FG% are up a bit this year - but his defensive statistics are almost nonexsistant. He was a popular pick because of his ability to be in the 1/1/1 club and the SPG/BPG have dropped off this season.
He's really an average fantasy player if he doesn't contribute in those areas.

Trust me i did look at the game logs before answering your questions. I saw no point at even refering to your so called "research" data. Please don't assume that i'm some ignorant troll.
So how big of a sample is that? 4 games?
And the game just before that he exploded for 28 points?
Check his logs from Jan 09 - Jan 19. Did you regret also back then that you should have sold high on him?
Perhaps you should have because he went on a tear for next 6 games or so.

THat's only for your team. For other owners, they own him (like myself) for his high %s and rpg (not to mention his 20ppg scoring average).
It's not like his overall numbers dropped this year. It's more like a gain here and loss there. Many will still find him very serviceable.

Yes he was hot in January, but I just don't think he will play any better than he has...I think the rest of the season he avgs/ 16/4/2....w/ and occasional steal or block. I don't think you're a troll, I just want you to know I'm not impatient. I just had a hunch back then that he wasn't gonna hold up, and I should've made a move...hinesight is 20/20.
Dallas just seems lost to me right now....dont know if Kidd move was the right one.

His percentages may see a bump with Kidd running that offense now. It deserves watching for a week or two.

The local announcers said before the game that his back was still bothering him quite a bit (he was wearing a brace).
At least let him get healthy before you dump him.

even when healthy this guys been disappointing. hes down in 3s stls blks all from last yr which was the reason i drafted him. and even his % have been suckier than i expected

I got Boozer for Josh and Bynum back in December, when J-ho was the Mavs leading scorer. I overpaid at the time, but it has paid off

Why would he be
worse than last year - a year in which Dirk was playing at an MVP level? Dirk's not averaging 25 pts this year - even during his hot month of January he only averaged 22.1 ppg.
4 rebounds? LMAO - Josh's career-low in rebounds is 5.5 as a rookie when he only played 23 mpg. He plays 36+ these days.

You gotta be happy that Jason Kidd is feeding him that much too. I am expecting Howard's stock to shoot up now with Kidd in town.

I think both Dirk and J-Ho are primed for HUGE 2nd halves with the addition of Kidd. He seems totally cool letting the other guys score. He may not have been the best thing to happen to the Mavs in reality, but I think fantasy owners of D and J are gonna be really happy the rest of the way.
At least I hope (as a Dirk owner)

Wow, hope I'm not the first one to have incorrect spelling on these boards....sorry,

I'm not trying to impress any1 with my cliches, Just pointing out the fact that after his 40+ point performance I should have sold him high...
That being said...his attempts make me happy bc I know he can shoot better than he has

I agree with the OP, he was definitely a sell high after that 40+ pt game.
He'll be back to 46% from the field at seasons end.
Plus, where'd his defensive stats go? Can't even get 1 stl a game.
