I already picked up Ricky Davis last week, but now maybe Marcus Banks too. He hurt his hamstring in the last game, so I'm a little hesitant. I assume he'll be back soon.
Banks should get huge playing time since Riley is fed up and looking to rebuild for next year. Here is a quote from him last week:
"I've got to ferret them out of here and just put them on the bench and bring in a bunch of young guys. ... The season's over for them. That's how they're playing, some of them, anyhow."

I dropped Nate Rob for Banks before the 45 pt game but now with Knicks falling like flies and Banks with a pulled hamstring, i might not see dividends for a bit. I think Banks will be given alot more freedom to do what he can and could be an excellent WW addition for those who missed out on Ricky Buckets. What does this do to Marion's value though?

This trade went down in my league between two contending teams about a week ago:
Dwayne Wade and Erick Dampier for Steve Nash and Andris Biedrins
Brutal.

That might be the only guy in America who gave much of anything for Dwyane Wade after the month of January. He must not read the Rotoworld forums.

It was only a matter of time. Why so many people drafted him in the first and second round knowing he was injured pre-season was beyond me.

Worst trade ever. I'd take Nash over Wade even if he was Healthy. ANd Biedrins is far superior over Damp. That guy in your league needs to be kicked out.

Damn it Yahoo, step your game up! Ricky Buckets is sitting on my FA list, but I can't drop Wade for him because they haven't removed the "can't cut" tag from Wade yet. Tempted to drop Matt Carroll for Buckets, then once Yahoo wakes up and changes Wade's status go get Carroll back...

I just dropped Diener to pick up Banks. With the signing of Ronald Murray, Diener's minutes have tailed off to less than 30 minutes for the past three games. Once Banks is healthy, I expect him to play close to 40 minutes per game and has a much bigger upside.
I picked up Ricky last week, so I'm hoping the woes of the Heat pay off for my fantasy team.

I was offered Dwyane Wade straight up for Ben Gordon earlier this week, I scoffed at the deal after pondering for a bit because of the looming decision that the Heat would have to make with their star.
Unfortunately, I woke up late this morning and was unable to scoop up Ricky Davis or Marcus banks

He's not having knee surgery, right? Rotoworld is just reporting that he needs "stimulation treatment." Rotoworld:
The Heat announced on Monday that Dwayne Wade will miss the rest of the season because he needs "stimulation treatment" on his surgically-repaired left knee.
This is the bombshell we we've been dreading all season. Wade missed Friday's game because he could hardly get out of bed, and as coach Pat Riley said in a press conference, "It's time [to shut Wade down]...We've been walking around on eggshells with this thing." Ricky Davis should immediately be scooped up and Marcus Banks will have solid value once he returns from his hamstring injury. Chris Quinn is also in line for more minutes, while owners in deep leagues also need to watch Daequan Cook, who was recently recalled from the D-League. Mar. 10 - 12:14 pm et

Carroll
Tough one. You're the 2nd person to advise that... but I hesitate because Carroll's been a good pickup for me so far.. Some news and notes:
Mar 9 Carroll scored a season-high 23 points Saturday night, and the Bobcats stretched their winning streak to a franchise-record five consecutive games by holding off the Washington Wizards 100-97. Advice: Carroll is averaging 17.3 points on 47.5 percent shooting in his last seven appearances. He has just nine points per game overall this season. Mar 9 Carroll buried his first six 3-point attempts on his way to 23 points Saturday night in Charlotte's victory over Washington. Recommendation: Carroll has been an integral part of the Bobcats' lineup during their five-game winning streak. He has double-figure scoring in six of the last seven games with 23 3-pointers during that stretch. He will continue to get big minutes from here on out.

I don't want to hjiack the thread since it's more of an Assistant Coach question, but Crash coming back to play at SF, slides Richardson to the SG spot. This bumps Carroll back to bench duty and ultimately reduces the value he's gained during this period.

It's a good point and I'd like to see how this plays out. I seem to recall this being talked about here in the forum, someone pointing out that Carroll will retain value if/when Crash returns. I'll try to search for it.

Davis will be worth a LOT more than Carroll starting this wednesday. If you dont swap them, you're making a mistake.
