for any of you soccer/football fans out there.. what do you all think about altidore?

he should be headed to europe soon... he says he wants to play for real madrid with theirry henry, but ive heard its gonna be a bidding war between man u and chelsea. hope he goes to man u- chelsea looks like it might lose drogba, lampard, and essien

I'm glad he's American...he should be a big time striker for the next decade or so on both the Club and International scenes.

He was on his way to Reading of the EPL in January, but another deal that would have cleared a spot on the roster for him fell through. It's too bad, he's exactly what they need, and I'm sure they're hoping to get something worked out this summer.

In addition to the top English clubs, I would be shocked if Real Madrid didn't pursue him; they were hot for Brad Guzan in Jan., and I'm sure they would also welcome Jozy.

2 goals in 6 matches thus far for our Jozy....I haven't caught any RB matches yet this season, anybody able to offer some thoughts about him as we head toward the friendlies with England, Spain and Argentina?

I'm expecting him to play in all three, even if he doesn't start all of them.

Our Jozy is on the move....link

Good luck in Spain, Jozy!!!
Colon 101
Villareal is a good fit.

It's off to England for Jozy.......with the Hull City Tigers.

He'll spend the season in England on loan, and should be available for the season opener vs. Chelsea on Saturday.

He's not available in the Rotoworld Cup.......yet wink.gif

So what do people think of the move? Clearly, he's moving up the food chain, and he should get playing time, even if it's sparse at first.

If he does succeed, it'll be interesting to see if Hull can sign him permanently, and/or he gets chased after by the bigger clubs.

I was very happy with this move... top-flight competition and it looks like he'll finally get some serious playing time. I think he proved in the Confederations Cup that, given some playing time, he can make a big difference in a game. And on that note, he's been looking great for the national team. The future looks bright for Jozy!
