Where's Taylor Twellman?

Where's Taylor Twellman?

Honestly, I don't think he's part of Bradley's long-term plans. They seem to like the idea of going younger up front, and these matches are as much an opportunity for them to face major international competition. Altidore, Cooper and Rogers have combined for 5 caps, and they're more of the future for the Nats at forward than Twellman, who'll be 30 by South Africa.

Compare that to:

Altidore - 20
Cooper - 25
Dempsey - 27
Johnson - 26
Rogers - 24
Donovan will only be as old as Twellman is now - 28

Oh but Twellman is the man. He is the only reason I would watch the Revolution lose to the Dynamo two years in a row

The first of the matches went about as badly for the Americans as it could have, as they lost 2-0 to the English at Wembley.

Fox offers a particularly scathing assessment of the performance.

And they have Spain next?.........yikes.

Yeah....they go to Spain next to deal with Fabregas, Torres, Alonso et al; they then have a match against the Argentinians at Giants Stadium next week.

If yesterday was any indicator, those matches will be ugly.

The roster for the Spain match:

Goalkeepers: Dominic Cervi, Brad Guzan, Tim Howard

Defenders: Carlos Bocanegra, Dan Califf, Steve Cherundolo, Jay DeMerit, Frankie Hejduk, Oguchi Onyewu, Heath Pearce

Midfielders: Freddy Adu, DaMarcus Beasley, Michael Bradley, Maurice Edu, Eddie Lewis, Pablo Mastroeni

Forwards: Clint Dempsey, Nate Jaqua, Eddie Johnson, Josh Wolff
