What do you think his value is going forward? Will he continue to see the bulk of the carries after Chattman comes back?

No fluke. And yes, he is the man. Expect more games like this. Amazing what happens when you actually have an offensive line and a QB that can throw the ball more than 15 yards in the air. JETS baby.

This is what TJ should do with an improved line and a weak defense.
He's a fine #2 RB but i'd like to see what he does against a real run-defense.
Great start though and he really stepped it up after all the "TJ has lost a step" rumors.

It was just Miami but he looked pretty good. Hopefully be can be a solid RB2.

I have T. Jones as my RB 3 and I am extremely happy and optimistic going forward. He has always been a good runner, he just had trouble finding the endzone last season. So far he is on pace for 1600+ yards and 16 TDs....

TJ was no fluke.
Adding Pro Bowlers Faneca, Woody and Tony Richardson is going to help the Jets running game.
Plus having Brett Favre to stretch the field ...

More impressive for those who didn't see the play was he earned the TD on his own - he had a LB ready to stop him at the 5 and he stiff armed the guy away, then bounced it outside to get in. Last year he would have run right into the guy and fell forward to the 3, then watched as Leon Washington spelled him on the next play and ran it in.

Tony Richardson is one of the best Fullbacks in the league, i could get a handful of yards in the NFL running behind him. Thomas Jones has a much improved line, and a feared QB that will forced defenses to keep honest against the pass. There is no reason to see that 1,200+ yards and 10 tds is not attainable.

No fluke. I expect him to be this good the next time he plays the Dolphins, too.
(Unfortunately for fantasy players, that won't be until week 17.)

He should be a solid RB2 with Favre gun slinging balls down the field. The Jets o-line is very good and if you look at all of the fantasy studs at RB over the past few years they normally have one thing in common, a rock solid o-line. I'm not saying he's going to put up amazing stats by any means, but he should have a pretty good season if Favre stays effective.

Pretty much spot on. This is a "normal" week for Thomas Jones. I mean he's not going to rush for 100 yards everytime, but he's the clear cut starter on a decent team. Against better run defenses he'll post lower numbers, but he's not in a time share or anything.

Jones is a low-end RB1 / top of the line RB2 this year.
granted, he's not a freak who is a lock for 100 every game, but he should approach it, regardless of defense. Favre does that for RBs...Richardson? revamped O-line?
he should wind up a top 10-12 RB in rushing this year.

Agree in every way, shape and form! One of the best indicators of an RBs speed is how he "turns the corner," and TJ looked impressive on several plays getting around his tackles using his speed. Especially on that touchdown.

Expect that kind of results whenever he plays an average team.

I expect Jones to have a great year. With Favre opening up the passing game, Jones will have plenty of room to run. The owner in one of my $ leagues who has LT has Jones as his RB2. I thought this would be one of his weak spots. I strongly believe I was wrong.

T. Jones is going to be huge. Why the doubt?!??! He was a great back last year just didn't get the TD's.

Favre will definitely help take some of the men out of the box against TJ but the biggest thing helping TJ has got to be the addition of Faneca and Woody to the Offensive line. This is why I am so high on TJ. People that are still down on TJ must have forgotten he rushed for 1100 yards last year with a horrible O-line and a QB whom the defense did not worry at all about throwing over their heads. I expect many 100 yard games from TJ. 1500 yards 7 TDs is a likely scenario.

Why is everybody saying the Jets is a decent team and their defense is much improved? I watched the entire Jets vs. Dolphins game and was not impressed by the Jets at all. I think they're still one of the lower tier teams in the league.
