The Rules are Simple!
- If you want to participate, just reply to this thread with the player you think should be ranked next on the draft list
- Rank the NBA players based on a Single-Season, Traditional 9-catagory Fantasy League (either H2H or Roto)
- Each player needs 5 votes to be ranked (1-36), 4 votes to be ranked (37-84), and 3 votes to be ranked (84+)
- If you are the final deciding voter for a particular player, it's your duty to start the next thread, name it "#2" or "#18" or whichever # the NEXT pick is. in the body of the thread, copy/paste these directions along with an updated rankings list!
- You can vote ON BEHALF of others! Just cite a previous thread where any member voted for a player, and you can carry over thier vote to make the process faster! (please be specific when doing this). This also means you should be careful who you vote for, any of your votes can be quoted and used against you later!

May I ask where Rudy Gay is? Him and Granger are the same calibur player, and to have Granger at 16 and Rudy not even on the list already makes this list flawed. Not to mention Dwight at #28 is absolutely horrible.... he's not even a top 50 player in fantasy ball...

Oh and I vote for Calderon, he'll be a top 30 player for sure because of his FG%, A, A/T. He may even break top 15 or 10 if he plays like he did last year when Ford was out.

i agree..if we are talking standard 9 cat roto leagues , Howard is further down the list from here..Gay should be somewhere around here though..thing is, like this list shows, you know someone in your league will take Howard too early..that will happen in just about every league..

So why are you voting for Calderon and not Gay? I personally have Gay about 33 on my draft list, but that just me. Howard at 28 is depending on what type of league, since the rules say 9 cat H2H or Roto, you can debate Howard can be a top 5 player or a 80ish player depending on roto or H2H.

I've been doing my voting on Roto, but I understand the H2H votes.

Opps, posted in the wrong thread with this one....

I'll take my UCONN boy Rudy Gay, a 1-1-1 guy with oodles of upside already nearing elite fantasy performance status. Plus, not much to share the rock with in Memphis. Thing is, in-draft, I'm likely to need a Gasol, Duncan, or even possibly JRich more. If I can take Gay in the 3rd, it's a great sign for my team chemistry. I just hope his TOs don't go completely off the charts in the bad way - maybe Conley can take some heat off his hands?

I'm not voting for Gay, because Calderon is a better pick-up then him in the early stages. If you placed Gay at #33, what did you place Granger at? They are the same type of player. And nothing you say can justify that they are not, because they both do everything , are 1/1/1 club material, and play on crappy teams where they are the up-and-coming stars.

I'll be gay for this one... for my vote I mean.

Actually Granger was in the 2/1/1 club (2 threes, 1 block, 1 steal), and the only player in the NBA to do so, and this is a reason he has so highly regarded. Another reason is, with JO shipped out and TJ shipped in, Granger should get a lot more touches with a true PG and now be the focal point of an offense for a whole season.

However, I agree with your statement that this is around the time to pick Rudy Gay, I completely forgot about him, so i change my vote from Gasol to Gay.

I have Granger higher due to the fact he has more competent teammates around him, and will get his no matter what. He shoots a higher FT% and came on super-strong in the second half. Gay has a ceiling as high as if not higher than Granger's, but will be subjected to more shutdown defenses keyed to just him, and his percentages might suffer. Don't be surprised to see him forced into more assists, lower FG%, more TOs and fewer 3PTMs, and beware of INJ risk with someone who all five of the opposition will key on as much as almost anyone in the league. Similar player, different situations. But the spirited debate is very healthy.

Gotta take him here, even if he's got a lot of teammates to share the ball with.

Pau Gasol.

Maybe 16 points, 8 boards, great percentages, a block and a half, low turnovers, good assists.

I have Granger at #24 on my list. Has to do with the difference in FT%, TO and 3's. Also granger has a bit more postion flexability.

They are close but Granger is higher on my list.
