Ram Linebacker Jack " Hacksaw " Reynolds. He later won two rings with the niners. He got the nickname while at Tennessee.
After a 38-0 loss to Ole Miss he was so pissed he sawed a 1953 Chevy in half with a hacksaw

I agree with Ray. Oldschool players had to earn their nicknames. Todays players have monikers dropped on them because of potential. Going by that reasoning lights out is the only one that comes to mind for the current players.

Fantasy football is a game of nicknames around here, and the nickname I read for Percy Harvin inspired me to make this thread. List the nicknames you have for each player in case they're used around here, since I remember a thread like this from last year.
Percy Harvin - ''Purple Haze''
Calvin Johnson - ''Megatron''
Frank Gore - ''The Truth''

Megatron is prob my favorite. I know Chris Johnson names like CJ423 or something like that... the numbers being whatever his 40 time was. pretty interesting but too long for my tast of a nickname. His new one... Every Coaches Dream is pretty lame and bitterriffic.
I dont remember F.Gore being called the truth. He should be called the Knee Cap cause he has two fake ones in there now that seem to have made him better than he ever was before.
AP seems to have a few... All Day, Purple Jesus.
FWIW all the guys with the initials first name and shortened last names one are pretty lame to me. like, DWill, etc. seems like a trend these days.
