  1. In a dynasty league with roster restrictions and with not being able to keep players on the DL in the off-season, need to cut SIX of the following problems. Otherwise this is a complete dynasty league with only draft being the new MLB drafted and internationally signed players. Its a CBS league with 8 pitchers (both SP & RP) and its a saves PLUS Holds league as well. All 8 starting positions, as well as an OF, Utility, Middle Infielder and Corner Infielder. Here is my bench and again, need to decide which of these six guys to cut: Bench: D Fletcher 2B/3B/LF/RF/SS Amed Rosario SS Victor Reyes LF/CF/RF D Betances J Cueto G Gonzalez Andrew Miller Brad Peacock Adam Plutko Rick Porcello Carlos Rodon Taylor Rogers Anibal Sanchez Taijuan Walker Alex Wood Any help/input would be appreciated as I'm struggling with some decision making here. thanks guys
  2. Have a long running league over ESPN, Head 2 Head, 10 teams. You keep 3 batters and 3 pitchers each year. Only one player from each team can be kept in the first 3 rounds. Payment is $50 and run over league safe. Draft is done as a slow draft posted on the league message boards. Pretty good league and the vacant team is solid and has the second overall pick in the next years draft. Please EMAIL me at NSKRBEC@hotmail.com and title ESPN KEEPER LEAGUE or text me @ 218-780-5622. Here are the options of players you can keep and the round they can be kept in. FA's are kept in the last available round: C Bellinger FA O Albies Rd 10 N Arenado Rd 4 A Rosario FA G Springer Rd 16 M Haniger Rd 17 J Soto FA M Cabrera FA Y Puig Rd 10 D Gregorius Rd 12 C Carrasco Rd 8 C Kimbrel Rd 3 D Price Rd 5 W Buehler FA T Cahill FA J Chacin FA M Boyd FA J Leclerc FA T Rogers FA C Martinez Rd 2 K Maeda Rd 13 B Morrow Rd 11
  3. OK, here's the league of all leagues. Absolutely awesome league, looking for ONE replacement/take over owner. This league is pretty close to as real as it gets, majors, minors, auction and setting your keepers for as long as you want. At least half of the big guns or more are available each year during the auction, and tons of talent to draft from so the teams listed are not anything close to what you'll end up going into the season with (unless you stink at drafting). We are dropping from 20 teams to 16 teams this year. Commish keeps a spreadsheet over google docs of each teams finances which is made available to you to view. I'll list the available teams with 2019 cap for the draft first and then post the league constitution. This will be first come, first get and team will not be yours until payment is made over fantrax treasurer. Please email NSKRBEC@hotmail.com OR Text 218-780-5622 if you are interested. Lastly, if a team wishes to start from scratch with just $260 cap for the draft with no players etc, I would allow this. Buzz Killers - $190 '19 cap. League Setup We are a dynasty fantasy baseball league with a salary cap and contract structure. Twenty teams compete for eight playoff spots every season. The annual league fee is $125 plus $4.15 of Fantrax fees for a $2500 pot. This league was created to test your ability to build, manage, and win with a team you construct as a general manager. It is meant to replicate an actual MLB team as best as possible. Salary Cap The salary cap is set at $260. This cap includes the combined salary of your active 25 man roster, disabled list, and cap hits from current and previous seasons (cap hits: see XI). Minor league players will not count towards the salary cap unless they have been promoted during their time in the league. It is each owner's responsibility to monitor their current salary. Going over the salary cap will result in an illegal roster and your team accumulating zero points during that series. No exceptions! The commissioner is available to help out teams that may have any issues IF you email or text me PRIOR to the start of each period with any issue(s). A document will be kept by the commissioner with rosters, contract lengths, cap hits, and minor league information for each team. This document is not meant to replace an owner’s personal bookkeeping, but it is meant to help facilitate easier trade negotiations and ensure each team is operating under the salary cap. The commissioner does NOT get paid for this service. They will do their best to keep things running as smooth as possible however if you notice an issue, please work together as a team versus against. Rosters Each roster includes 25 MLB players, 15 MiLB players, and 10 disabled list slots. Every MLB slot must be filled at the conclusion of the auction and from Opening Day to the end of the season season. MLB Catcher 1st Base 2nd Base 3rd Base Shortstop Left Field Center Field Right Field 2 - Utility (any batter) 5 - Starting Pitchers 5 - Relief Pitchers 5 - Bench (any position) MiLB 15 - Any Position Disabled List Each team has ten disabled list (DL) slots available beginning one week before opening day. A player may only be placed on the DL if his MLB club places him on the list. Once the MLB team has removed a player from the DL, the owner has until the beginning of the next series to remove the player from the DL, make a trade involving the player, or release the player to avoid an illegal roster. Scoring Each week features two series; one from Monday to Thursday and one from Friday to Sunday. Four games are played concurrently during each series for a total of 168 games per team each season. The scoring breakdown goes as follows: Hitters Total Bases = 1 Run Scored = 1 Run Batted In = 1 Walk = 1 Hit By Pitch = 1 Stolen Base = 2 Strikeout = -1 Ground into Double Play = -1 Caught Stealing = -1 Error = -1 Pitchers Inning Pitched = 2.25 Win = 4 Save = 5 Hold = 2 Strikeout = 1 Pickoff = 1 Hit allowed = -1 Earned Run = -1.1 Loss = -2 Blown Save = -2 Walk issued = -0.6 Hit batter = -1 We are beginning a process in 2017 to correct the value of starting and relief pitchers. The following table outlines the changes (See Appendix A for more information), this was due to start in 2017 however due to the commissioner change it did not. We are still going to correct the scoring and this will start in 2018 season and finish up in the 2020 season. (**Updated 12/28/17 to start the changed in ‘18 that were to take place in ‘17 that did not, as voted by the off-season committee). Round 3 will feature the 1 vs lowest seed and 2 vs highest seed. The final round will feature the championship between the two semi-final winners and a 3rd place game between the two semi-final losers. Seeding Tiebreakers Total points scored Head to head record Total wins Trades The trade deadline is at the conclusion of Series 34. After 11:59pm ET on July 31, no more trades will be allowed until the offseason period begins on December 1. The eligible parts of a trade are MLB players, MiLB players, MiLB draft picks, and salary cap. You can trade draft picks and salary cap up to two years in advance Example: In 2017, only draft picks and salary from 2017-2019 are legal trade components. Each trade does not need to pass a league vote but is subject to review. In the event of collusion, the concerned party should alert the entire league via email and include their reasoning. The owners involved will have an opportunity to defend the validity of the trade before a league vote. The penalty, up to expulsion, will be determined by the commissioner and two owners not involved in the collusion charge who participated in the previous offseason committee. Every trade must post salary components in a forum post in the trades thread . Players traded in the off-season must be under contract the following year (or if before the auction draft and after posting of contracts, owner must have submitted an extension to be eligible to be traded) If any team wishes to trade more than 12.5% of future cap ($32.50) they will need to make arrangements with the league/commissioner to pay future entry fees (added after 2017 season). Commissioner processes trades twice per week, on the same day free agents are processed. Commissioner has enough on their plate trying to keep everything updated to jump at anybody’s request however will accomodate as best as possible. Example - if both owners and commish are online and agree to have trade processed commish MAY do so. The processing of trades at set days are meant to assure no invalid rosters occur from last minute processing of trades AND to keep the commish semi-sane. Releasing Players Players are placed on waivers for 24 hours after their release. There is no need to post the drop in a forum post. All transactions appear on the transaction history page on Fantrax. If the player goes unclaimed after 24 hours then the original owner will be responsible for 50% of the contract for the current season, 25% for the following season, and 10% for each subsequent year, and the player will enter free agency. If the player is claimed, the new owner takes over the remainder of the contract, including the current season and the previous owner is NOT responsible for that players salary. Players are claimed by posting in the league message board with the player info(ex: CLAIM: John Doe, 1B, Expos, 6-35). If another team replies to the post within 24 hours of the drop, bidding will take place on Fantrax as described in Section VIII with a few changes; Only teams who posted a claim are eligible to bid. Bidding begins at the auction purchase price and increases by at least $1. The winning team acquires the player at contract price. Example: John Doe is cut in year 3 of a 6-35 deal. Bidding begins at $35. If Doe is awarded at $37, then the winning team would inherit a 6-37 contract and be charged $42.74 for year 3) Free Agents MLB Free agents are awarded to the highest bidder on a one year contract at the winning price at 7am ET on Sunday and Thursday. The minimum free agent bid is $0.50 and all bids must be $X.50 or $X.00. All pending bids are private. The commissioner has access to a failed claim sheet and will void an acquisition and reverse any accompanying drop if two teams submitted an equal bid for the same player. In this case, only the teams that tied for the player will have the chance to submit another bid of at least the tying price. This will occur as soon as the commissioner makes a post and each owner tied for the said player will get 24 hours to post highest bid. a) In the result of a tie after the secondary bidding occurs, the team with the Lowest seeding in the current year will win the claim. MiLB (less than 130 career MLB at-bats/less than 50 career MLB innings pitched) Each team begins every season with 10 MiLB claims. Players are awarded to a team on a two year, $1 contract at 7am ET on the first Sunday of every month.. You must submit a $1 claim to be awarded a minor leaguer. If multiple teams submit a $1 claim, the team that finished worst in the final standings from the previous season will be awarded the player. (This is for the initial MiLB Claims Draft) If multiple teams submit a $1 claim, the team that is lowest seeded in the current season will be awarded the player. (This is for monthly Sunday MiLB claim ties). No MiLB claims between Nov 15 and Ap 15. No player is eligible to be signed if they have not formally signed with a MLB team Each year will start with up to a 10 round MiLB claim draft. Teams will be awarded players in inverse order of the previous years standings. This will not be a “snake” draft. Note: I had to enter a free agent acquisition budget for Fantrax, but you will be using your team salary cap to purchase players. Your roster will be illegal if you fail to clear the necessary salary to offset a free agent claim before rosters lock for the series. MiLB Claims are not allowed until April 15 of each year. The first set up MiLB claims will be handled like a draft awarded to teams in inverse order of their previous years standing. MLB Auction Each February we hold an auction on couchmanagers.com to fill out our MLB rosters. The draft is a slow auction where a player is won once the highest bid stands for 24 hours (owners obtain nominatinos after each won player - commish will give out nominations to teams towards the end of the auction to speed things up but to begin, it is a strategy based auction to obtain noms OR blowing your cap on a few big players and not getting nominations). Auction begins the Monday following the Super Bowl. Bids begin at $1 and increase by a minimum of $1. Only unowned players with at least 130 at bats or 50 innings pitched are eligible for the annual auction. MiLB Draft Each season includes a three round non-snaking MiLB draft beginning during the All-Star break. The draft order is the inverse standings from the current season. Owners are not required to select players if their MiLB roster is full. However, if a team with a full MiLB roster selects a player, they have 24 hours to make an appropriate roster move to make room for the new selection. Only players selected in the most recent MLB First Year Amateur Draft are eligible each season. Owners have 24 hours to make their selection in the first round, 12 hours in the second round, and 8 hours in the third round. Note: Teams have the ability to add other minor leaguers to their roster through free agency (see Section VII.B). MiLB Claim Draft Each season starts with a MiLB Claims “draft” on April 15th. As each team has 10 MiLB claims per year, this draft can be no more than 10 rounds This draft will NOT be a snake draft Each owner will submit their claims in order of preference. $1.00 for their top claim, $0.99 for their second ranked claim, $0.98 for their third ranked claim etc etc. Commish will review claims and will go through each teams rankings and distribute players accordingly. Please note that fanxtrax may initially award you a player that is not your initially but this will be worked out within a few days at commish’s earliest convenience. (added 12/29/17 however this was how we processed 2017 MiLB claims as well). As each team has only 10 MiLB claims, this will not be more than a 10 round “draft” Contracts MLB Players acquired in the free agent auction must be signed to a contract. Each owner has 48 hours after completion of the auction to submit his contract lengths or every player will be signed to a one year deal. A document containing contract lengths for every team will be sent out for reference. Contract lengths can be anywhere from 1-10 seasons. For multi-year contracts the increase in salary will reflect the percentage increases that follow: Year 1 - Auction Price Year 2 - Auction Price + 5% Year 3 - Year 2 price + 10% Year 4 - Year 3 price + 15% Year 5 - Year 4 price + 20% Each additional year will include a 20% increase from the previous season. Players acquired through free agency will be signed to a one year deal for the price of the winning bid. Expiring Contracts (see Fair Value in Appendix Teams have the option to re-sign expiring contracts for one year at 120% of fair value or a 30% increase from the previous season, whichever is higher. No limit to number of extensions a team can sign each year. Free agent acquisitions will be ineligible and reenter the auction pool next year. MiLB Players drafted in the prospect draft will receive a 4 year contract at $1 per year. The salary does not increase from season to season. Players acquired through free agency will receive a 2 year contract at $1 per year. The salary does not increase from season to season. Expiring Contracts (see Fair Value in Appendix Players are eligible for up to 3 years of optional arbitration after their rookie contract expires. Year 1 is 50% of fair value. Year 2 is 75% of fair value. Year 3 is 100% of fair value. The player becomes eligible for MLB extensions after 3 years of arbitration. (See explanation of fair value at bottom) Owner can opt out after any season. Fair value is recalculated every year. Note: Players drafted in the 2015 free agent draft received a 2 year contract at $2 per year. The salary does not increase from season to season. Note: All MiLB players drafted in 2014 received 3 year contracts at $1 per year. The salary does not increase from season to season. Post in the league forum when you promote a player from your minors so commish can update the spreadsheet. Failure to do so and if your cap WOULD be over from a promoted MiLB player is the sole responsibility of the owner. This time will be used to find replacement owners, hold the offseason committee, and update Fantrax and the league spreadsheet for the upcoming season. Dues & Payouts Fantrax Fees 20 teams @ $4 = $80 In 20 teams $ $125 = $2500 Out 1st Place: $750.00 2nd Place: $450.00 3rd Place: $200.00 4th Place: $100.00 Regular Season 1-8: $125.00*8 = $1000.00 League Calendar December 1 - January 31 Preseason period Only trades and drops are permitted. 6. Fellas, I'm looking at starting up a new league. It will be run over fantrax, payments made into fantrax treasury. $125/team, 20 teams. MLB and MiLB rosters. I run a similar league right now and it is by far, the most fun league that I am in. When I first started in the other league, I thought it may be a bit much HOWEVER it is quite simple. Basically run like a real MLB team. Allows for tons of trading and lots of player movement as well as the ability to test your skills by managing your salary cap. If you are interested, please let me know by email @ nskrbec@hotmail.com. If I get enough interest, I'll fire up the league and get things rolling. It will be a ton of work for me to set up so want to see if anybody has interest before I fire it up. Here is the constitution that I fired up. League Setup We are a DYNASTY SALARY CAP STRUCTURE fantasy baseball league starting new in 2018. Twenty teams compete for eight playoff spots every season. The annual league fee is $125 (plus (estimated) $4.15 for Fantrax fees) (plus $0.50 for couchmanagers auction fee - where we hold our yearly drafts) for a $2500 pot. This league was created to test your ability to build, manage, and win with a team you construct as a general manager. It is meant to replicate an actual MLB team as best as possible and also meant for a smart owner to easily turn a basement dwelling team back into a contender the next year. They will do their best to keep things running as smooth as possible however if you notice an issue, please work together as a team and bring it up versus making issues and disrupting the league. The scoring breakdown goes as follows: Hitters Total Bases = 1.1 Run Scored = 1 Run Batted In = 1.1 Walk = 1 Hit By Pitch = 1 Stolen Base = 2 Strikeout = -0.75 Ground into Double Play = -1 Caught Stealing = -0.75 Error = -1 Pitchers Inning Pitched = 2.75 Win = 2 Quality Start = 2 Save = 3 Hold = 2 Strikeout = 1 Pickoff = 1 Hit allowed = -1 Earned Run = -1.5 Loss = -2 Blown Save = -2 Walk issued = -1 Hit batter = -1 Playoffs The playoffs will consist of 8 teams and 4 rounds lasting one week each. The top 8 teams in the final standings will qualify for the playoffs. Round 1 will feature 5 vs 8 and 6 vs 7. Round 2 will feature 3 vs lowest seed and 4 vs highest seed. Round 3 will feature the 1 vs lowest seed and 2 vs highest seed. The final round will feature the championship between the two semi-final winners and a 3rd place game between the two semi-final losers. 7. Have a team available to be taken over, one of the best teams in the league. This is a 16 team Dynasty League. The previous owner for the last several teams decided he was not going to return next year towards the end of the season and had a replacement owner taken over immediately however that owner has not been active and have not been able to contact him. I'll post the league constitution after I post the roster but this is a pretty solid team and I know there will be a pretty quick reply to this so if you're interested get at me. It will be a first come, first "serve" gig. Once payment is received you will be given ownership of the team. Contact me at NSkrbec@hotmail.com and use the title CBS League in the header as your message will go to my junkmail. Here is the roster C M Zunino, 1B T White, 2B J Altuve, 3B A Rendon, SS A Russell, MI I Kinsler, CI C Santana, LF Jose Martinez, CF M Haniger, RF B Nimmo, OF C Yelich, Utility Jose Abreu Bench: Y Alonso & F Cordero Pitchers: A DeSclafani, K Gibson, Z Godley, R Hill, Y Hirano, C Knebel, J Teheran, A Vizcaino Bench P's: J Cueto, A Garrett, Gio Gonzalez, G Holland, H Strickland, A Suarez & R Yarbrough Minors: R O'Hearn, V Brujan, L Rengifo, R Mountcastle, F Nova, B McKinney, R Laureano, S Alcantara, D Cease, K Crick, L Gohara, N Kingham, J Loaisiga, P Lopez, Y Lopez & M Strahm League Constitution: INTRODUCTION; The league will have 16 teams, 4, 4 team divisions. There will also be $10 league dues per manager to cover the cost of the CBS league site that can be sent via paypal to the commish @ NSkrbec@hotmail.com. (I do not get any of this money, it goes directly to the league fees). The league will consist of both a active major league roster and also an active minors roster. 30 major leaguers (not including D/L) and 14 minor leagues. 1. DRAFT: There will be two drafts the initial year. The draft order will be random, and will be done online. The draft order will start 1-16 for the minors draft and will be reverse order for the majors draft (pick #1 in minors draft gets pick #16 in the majors draft, and pick #16 in the minors draft will have the #1 overall pick in the majors draft). Drafts will be slow drafts, the MiLB draft will run over the league message boards and the MLB draft over the CBS Sports Fantasy League App slow draft style, I am open to any ideas that may better the league. A INITIAL MINORS DRAFT: First, will be the minors draft. Minors draft is for any player with 250 or less major league at bats or 150 or less major league innings pitched at the time of the draft (January 1, 2016 for this year). A separate google doc's draft spreadsheet will be kept by the commissioner and viewable by the league (if somebody has a better idea, I'm all ears). The minors draft will be 14 rounds and trading is allowed/encouraged. Trading is allowed in all aspects, HOWEVER if during the initial minors draft you have a lopsided trade (trade 2 guys and receive 4 back) you are responsible for making your roster valid upon completion of the MiLB draft. For our initial majors/minors draft ALL PLAYERS that have signed a MLB contract at the time of the draft are eligible to be drafted. ALL PLAYERS that have not been signed by a MLB team are not eligible to be drafted, period. New players added to the player pool that were singed AFTER OUR DRAFT cannot be picked up throughout the year and are only available during the next years prospect draft. Draft order will be determined randomly (will use Rotoworlds draft randomizer that emails all managers the random pick results) Each manager will have UP to (please pick as timely as possible) 10 hours to make their pick. This time frame is only for the hours of 6:00 am and 10:00 pm central. If teams go over the allotted time frame, the next team up to pick may make their selection (like the NFL draft). ** Also, please note that the initial minors draft the first three round IS NOT A SNAKE draft, however the remaining 11 rounds will be a snake draft. B. INITIAL MAJORS DRAFT: As stated above, the manager with the #16 pick in the minors draft, will have the #1 overall pick in the majors draft. You are not allowed to draft players that have not signed with major league clubs yet (international players included) by the start of that years MiLB draft which is January 1, 2016 for this year. The draft will be 30 rounds. The MLB draft will be done over the actual CBS Sports Fantasy Site's app. Each manager will have UP to (please pick as timely as possible) 10 hours to make their pick. This time frame is only for the hours of 6:00 am and 10:00 pm central. If teams go over the allotted time frame, the next team up to pick may make their selection (like the NFL draft). C YEARLY PROSPECT DRAFT: At the beginning of every new season, we will have a 3 round minors draft for newly drafted players and also newly signed international league players that did not play in the MLB the previous year. Players that have been drafted but not signed are NOT eligible for this draft. International players eligible to be signed, but not signed with a MLB team are NOT eligible for this draft. Minors roster for the 2017 season will expand by 3 players to a total of 17 MiLB players and will remain at 17 MiLB players for subsequent seasons. Draft order is determined by: #1 pick winner of the toilet bowl (playoffs of teams that do not make the playoffs). Picks 2-8 are inverse order of the final standings. Picks 9-16 are inverse order of your final standings in the playoffs. ***Your roster will need to be in compliance with the league settings within 24 hours of completion of each years MiLB draft. The 2018 Draft will begin on the Monday following Superbowl Sunday every year (2/5/18) and will run over the leagues draft application. I am putting a freeze on all adds/drops for players that were only eligible to be drafted in the 2018 MiLB draft (those signed b/t 1/1/17 - 12/31/17) and they cannot be added until Saturday March 3, 2018 at 12:00 (noon) central D. DRAFT PICK TRADING: Trading is allowed, in fact, it is encouraged. ALL TRADES OF A CURRENT PICK MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN TWO HOURS AFTER THE PREVIOUS PICK WAS MADE. If any deals are made/submitted to commish after the two hour period, it will be vetoed. the two hour time frame is only in effect from 6:00 am - 10:00 pm central. 2. ROSTERS: A. Rosters will consist of 30 major league players (MLB) and up to 14 minor league players (MiLB) (you do not have to keep 14 minor league players but you cannot have more than 14 minor league players. ** the minors roster will expand by 3 players in 2017 for a total of up to 17 minor league players. Your roster will need to be in compliance with the league settings within 24 hours of completion of each years MiLB draft. B. Rosters will start the following players: C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, MI, CI, LF, CF, RF, OF, Util, P, P, P, P, P, P, P, P and 10 bench positions. C. You must have all active roster positions filled and rosters must be valid at all times, meaning if a player in your minors accrues more than the allowed innings pitched or at bats they must be either called up to your majors squad or dropped. You will get a reminder but if you fail to adjust your roster the commissioner will take action, most likely dropping the player. Being a dynasty keeper league, there is a fairly heavy DL/Injured reserve list having 10 D/L eligible spots so please be as active as you can with this. Any transactions made while players not eligible for the D/L are on D/L positions will be reversed. Rosters may not have anybody listed on the D/L after the end of the season (we will say after the world series ends for deadline purposes). D. D/L Positions must be filled by players on the D/L ONLY. Once players are off the D/L you will not be allowed to make any roster changes (adds/drops) UNTIL the player(s) no longer on the D/L are taken out of the D/L positions. If you do make a move without taking said person off the D/L that is no longer D/L eligible your roster will be invalid and CBS will not accrue you points for that day. Commish cannot overturn no accrual of stats on those days so please be diligent in this matter. 3. SCORING: Head to Head, Individual Categories. A. Batting 6 Categories: Batting Average (Avg.), Runs ®, Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB) & On Base Plus Slugging Percentage (OPS) B. Pitchers 6 Categories: Earned Run Average (ERA), Strikeouts (K), Walks plus Hits per Innings Pitched (WHIP), Wins (W), Quality Starts (QS) and Saves plus Holds (SVHD) ** Please note that I will have to make an equation with CBS to add the Saves plus Holds 4. TRADING AND PLAYER ACQUISITIONS; A. Trading is encouraged and will be reviewed by the commissioner and/or co-commissioner(s). This will be a fairly active league so I DO NOT EVER EXPECT there to be any form of veto, however to protect the league I will reserve this for review by the commissioner and/or co-commissioner(s). Player acquisitions will be unlimited. Trades that the commissioner is involved in will be reviewed by the co-commissioner(s) for fairness. a. Trade Deadline will be the second Friday in August every year. For the 2018 season the trade deadline is August 10, 2017 at 11:59 pm eastern time. B. Acquisitions will occur every day. There will be no season acquisition limits however will have a weekly acquisition limit of 7 (for 7 day matchups). You are unable to pick up a player who has not previously been signed by a major league club. International players or newly drafted players. These players will be eligible for the yearly prospects draft. C. Players that were not in the CBS player pool at the time of the MLB/MiLB draft however that have been signed by a MLB team prior to the start of the yearly MiLB draft can be picked up once they become available in the CBS player pool. They get placed on automatic CBS waivers and each owner will have the opportunity to add them once they clear waivers. During our draft, players could be added to the CBS player pool by the Commish and that "place holder" will need to remain on your roster to be eligible to pick up that player once CBS adds them to the player pool; However post draft, there will be no "place holder" players added. They will not be available until they become eligible in the CBS player pool. D. ** added 8/5/17 - All adds drops need to be each and every owners responsibility. If, for some reason they make an error, they will have 15 minutes from the time the transaction occurs to make a post on the league site advising of the mistake so commish can take appropriate action 5. TEAMS AND DIVISION: Each League will consist of 8 teams (AL & NL) and each league will have two, four team divisions (East & West or North & South) 6. SCHEDULE AND PLAYOFFS: A. Schedule will be random set by the league. B. Playoffs will consist of 8 teams. a. Division winners are locked in as the #1 & #2 seed in each league (by winning percentage). b. Each league will also have two wild card teams that make the playoffs - The wild card criteria is determined by the 2 best teams in each league after the division winners are locked in. C. Round 1 of Playoffs, 8 Teams, 4 American League and 4 National League Teams. Division winners are locked in at #1 and #2 seeds in both leagues and the two wild card teams per division will be the #3 and #4 seeds. #1 seed vs #4 seed and #2 seed vs #3 seed. This is for both leagues. D. Round 2: the 2 winners in each league play each other - 4 total teams. E. Round 3, AL Champion vs NL Champion. F. Consolation Playoffs. Along with the Regular Playoffs there will be a Consolation Playoffs. It will consist of the Regular Season’s Seeds #9 through #16. The consolation playoffs will see seeds #9 & #16, #10 & #15, #11 & #14, and #12 & #13 play against each other. The winners will advance in bracket form until the Consolation Playoffs winner is determined. a. The winner of the Consolation Playoffs will be given the 1st pick in the following years Prospect Draft, The Prospect/Free Agent draft order will be determined by reverse order the end of the regular season standings for the non-playoff teams (excludes the Consolation Playoff champion who will select first) and the remaining based on the playoff results. Therefore the Prospect Draft Order the following year will be: 1) Consolation Playoff Winner 2) 16th Best Record 3) 15th Best Record 4) 14th Best Record 5) 13th Best Record 6) 12th Best Record 7) 11th Best Record 8) 10th Best Record 9) 8th Place Play-off Finisher 10) 7th Place Play-off Finisher 11) 6th Place Play-off Finisher 12) 5th Place Play-off Finisher 13) 4th Place Play-off Finisher 14) 3rd Place Play-off Finisher 15) 2nd Place Play-off Finisher 16) League Champion G. ** We will vote on a new tie breaker for playoff games. The 2016 rules advised that we would use league safe rules, which turned out to be bench points. I will not have that this year as it is overly complicated. A vote will occur prior to the start of the 2017 that will determine playoff tie breakers. 7. LEAGUE FEES AND PAYOUTS; 16 teams x's $75 = $1200 total pot (CBS charges $150 league fee so on top of the $75 leaguesafe fee, there will be an additional $10 fee that will be sent via paypal to the commish ( nskrbec@hotmail.com ) to cover league dues. A. League Champion $500 B. 2nd Place $250 C. 3rd Place $50 D. Division Champ $50 each (4 divisions $200) E. Conference Regular Season champion $100 (American League) F. Conference Regular Season champion $100 (National League) G. Payouts are done via the league safe site once they release funds to be allocated. H. All team owners will select a MLB team as their team name and MLB logos will be assigned by the commissioner. 8. EVERYTHING ELSE: Lastly, if, at any time, a manager becomes so detrimental to the league that the commissioner and co-commissioner(s) deem him to be taking away from the overall league, we reserve the right to delete that manager from the league regardless of whether they have paid for the league that year or not. There will be no refunds if that does happen. 9. PLACE HOLDER PLAYERS LIST: The following players have a player made by the commissioner with his name as a place holder, it is the owners responsibility to make sure they watch the CBS boards for when the actual player is added to the CBS player pool: MN Wander Samuel Franco SS TB MN Danny Diaz SS Bos MN Joel Israel Garcia OF Cin Philly Caden Lemons SP Mil MN Julio Rodriguez OF Sea ** You are responsible for picking that player up once he is available and tracking, etc. It will not be counted as a "transaction" during the season and if the issue arises the commissioner can fix, but please advise if this does happen. LIST OF AGENDA ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED/VOTED ON FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON 1. Playoff Tie Breakers for both 6-6 ties AND for stat category ties (currently W goes to home seed). 2. Some type of rule/policy change for "tanking" ? 3. Consequence for invalid lineups - should each team get a "warning" - (how do we track that) or should they get invalidated lineup? 4. Set roster limits to unlimited for the off-season 5. Set roster limits to 7 per matchup to start the season 2019 MiLB Draft Order 1. Arizona 2. San Francisco 3. Cleveland 4. Milwaukee 5. Minnesota 6. Toronto 7. Seattle 8. Houston/Colorado 9. Philly 10. Detroit 11. Chicago Cubs 12. Oakland 13. New York Yankees 14. Atlanta 15. Boston 16. LA Dodgers
  8. Running a 20 team dynasty salary cap structure league on fantrax. We are in the final week of playoffs and getting ready for the off-season mode. I have 3 confirmed teams so far that will not be returning next year. The league is extremely fun and active. Taking over a team isn't your normal dynasty "take over" a crap team as it is also a redraft for players who have been cut/contracts not extended etc. Many of the top talent in the game end up being involved in the draft and is extremely likely for an active owner to even take the worst of teams and make into a playoff team the same year of takeover. We expanded back to 20 teams this off-season and really like that number of teams. This is my favorite league that I am in every year and am sure I will not have issues filling the teams. Once the off-season is finalized, will have a full list of the teams that are available and players eligible to be re-signed for that team. This will be a first come, first serve basis so please contact me ASAP if you want in. If you are interested, please email me at NSKRBEC@HOTMAIL.COM and title fantrax baseball opening. Your email will go into my junk folder but will be looking for titles of that. Here are the league rules from the constitution: Baseball Federation League Constitution Updated January 17, 2017 League Setup We are a dynasty fantasy baseball league with a salary cap and contract structure. MiLB drafts. XV 2018 EXPANSION DRAFT In 2018 we are expanding the league back from the 16 teams to 20 teams that we have had in previous seasons. . This leaves us with 4 expansion teams MLB Expansion Players Prior to the 2018 MLB Auction, each of the four expansion teams can add up to 2 players at FMV that are either in the current FA market pool OR that are on 2017 teams rosters that ARE NOT eligible to be resigned to extensions. These contracts will be due to be emailed to the commissioner (nskrbec@hotmail.com) by 10 pm ET on January 28, 2017. Players in this expansion draft can be signed for up to 3 years. If there is more than one team that would like to “claim” the same player, I would put up that player(s) to a “silent auction” between the teams. I would have the owners submit to me their highest bid above FMV within 24 hours Four Round Expansion MiLB Claim Draft Each of the four expansion teams will have a 4 round “MiLB Claim Draft before the 2018 season. Players eligible for this draft are any player with MiLB status on the free agent list. The 4 round draft will be randomized and will be a snake draft, picks can be posted on the league message board. The 4 round draft will be randomized and will be a snake draft, picks can be posted on the league message board. Draft will start once the four teams are finalized. MiLB Claims Draft As the four expansion teams had “first crack” at the claims in the MiLB claims draft, they will be given “seeds” of 17, 18, 19 & 20 for the MiLB claims draft. 9. Soto is by far the best of those three. (Not that having any of these 3 are bad options however). I think I'd lean toward keeping Torres as well but if you cut Soto, you're making a mistake. His so called "slump"
  10. I'm in a 16 team full dynasty and starting to look at making my final roster cuts here and due to not being able to have guys on the DL in the off-season, need to make some cuts that I'm not looking forward to. I have two batters that I have questions on: 1. Currently have Troy Tulowitzki on the DL. I'm leaning towards cutting him to not have to waste a roster spot on him. Is he done? 2. I have stashed Yasmany Tomas on my Majors bench (he is past our AB limit to place in Minors). Do I cut ties with him. I had somewhat of a fantasy crush on him over the years but think it may be time to cut ties. Lastly, I have a slew of mediocre pitchers that I need to make a decision on. IF I LET GO OF BOTH Tulo and Tomas, here is what I have going on. I have 9 spots and these 15 guys that I need to pick between -at least 4 of them need to be MiLB eligible (need to cut 6 of them) Seth Lugo NYM Aantonio Senzatela Col, Brent Suter Mil Brett Anderson Oak Jeremy Jeffress Mil Joakim Soria Mil Mike Montgomery CHC Caleb Smith Mia (MiLB) Eric Skoglund KC (MiLB) John Gant StL (MiLB) Justin Anderson LAA (MiLB) Luis Medina NYY (MiLB) Eric Lauer SD (MiLB) Yohander Mendez Tex (MiLB) Kyle Muller Atl (MiLB)
  11. Looking for an active owner. Have a 16 team, full dynasty league run over CBS that has an owner not returning next year. He was kind enough to let me know now so I can start looking for a replacement owner. The team is one of the more competitive teams in the league. Really solid team as you can see by the roster below, especially in a 16 team league (probably a better roster than my team). Teams consists of both MLB and MiLB players. If interested, please feel free to email me at NSkrbec@hotmail.com with title CBS Baseball league opening as I'm guessing your email will go into my junk mail so I can find. I want active owners and of course, always prefer guys wanting to wheel and deal frequently. Will post the team and the league details below. C M Zunino, 1B Y Alonso, 2B J Altuve, 3B A Rendon, SS W Difo, MI I Kinsler, CI C Santana, LF Jose Martinez, CF M Haniger, RF R Laureano, OF C Yelich, U T White, IR J Abreu, A Russell, F Cordero, B Nimmo, L Martin, P H Bailey, R Erlin, Y Hirano, J Lopez, P Lopez, A Reed, H Stricklan, J Venters, Bench L Cessa, A DeSclafani, K Gibson, Z Godley, Gio Gonzalez, R Hill, D Hutchison, C Kelly, E Ramirez, J Teheran, IR J Cueto, M Pineda, J Samardzija, A Vizcaino, S Wright. Owner will NOT need to pay for the remainder of the 2018 season however expectations are that they will make arrangements to pay for the upcoming 2019 season to assure league is being taken care of. Trade deadline is already over however once the playoffs are done trades open back up and there is usually a significant amount of action following the end of the season so would be good to get the new owner in ASAP. INTRODUCTION; The league will have 16 teams, 4, 4 team divisions. All teams will send the $75 league fees to league safe before the start of each years prospect draft. For the 2017 season the trade deadline is August 11, 2017 at 11:59 pm eastern time.

There will be no refunds if that does happen. 9. 15. Have a 16 team, full dynasty league run over CBS that has an owner not returning next year. The team is one of the better teams in the league and is currently in the playoff race (currently 3rd out of the 8 teams in the division). Team consists of both MLB and MiLB players. C A Hedges, 1B J Hicks, 2B J Baez, 3B M Machado, SS J Polanco, MI D Robertson, CI CJ Cron, LF M Ozuna, CF J Bradley, RF J Bonifacio, OF M Conforto, Util J Iglesias, B C Moran, B H Perez, IR J Bell, C Seager, N Mazara, K Pillar, P's J Barria, J Flaherty, C Green, G Marquez, L McCullers, M Stroman, J Urena, A Wood, Bench P's, M Barnes, S Dominguez, M Givens, J Hicks, J Jimenez, J Leclerc, D Mengden, W Smith, IR T Walker. Minors: D Jansen, F Mejia, C Biggio, L Urias, C Pache, DJ Peters, H Ramos, L Robert, W Benson, A Verdugo, A Abreu, JB Bukausks, DL Hall, T Houck, S Romero, L Thorpe & B Wilson. Pretty good talent for a 16 team league so I'm certain I'll have no issues finding an active, interested owner. INTRODUCTION; The league will have 16 teams, 4, 4 team divisions. All teams will send the $75 league fees to league safe before the start of each years prospect draft. For the 2017 season the trade deadline is August 11, 2017 at 11:59 pm eastern time. 16. Have one opening in a 16 team dynasty league. Playoffs just ended 9/17/17 and I try to stay on top of things as best as I can. We currently have one owner that will not be back for next season. The team is pretty talented and as is, is a borderline playoff team that was decimated by injuries this year. Team Roster currently consists of: G Sanchez, J Bell, R Healy, T Turner, J Baez, T Shaw, N Mazara, S Marte, B Gamez, J Polanco, H Renfroe, G Polanco for bats, easily getting an A to an A- grade in 16 team league. Arms are weaker consisting of: L McCullers, C Allen, D Betances, B Brach, K Freeland, J Nelson, G Marques, J Familia, A Miranda. Minors is set up for a solid B to B+ grade with players such as: F Mejia, R McMahon, M Moniak, E Rimenez, L Brinson, V Robles, S Brault & J Wentz. The team also has the #3 overall pick in each of the 3 rounds for this years prospect draft. As the top advises, it is a 16 team H2H league that just commenced our second year. Pretty active group of guys and was sad to see the current owner of Pittsburgh leave but everybody has their own things to deal with. If you have more questions, contact me @ NSkrbec@hotmail.com and title it CBS Baseball League Opening as I don't check rotoworld post daily as I do my email. Hope to hear from you. Also, there will be no "saving" the team. First team paid gets it.
