  1. Disclaimer: I’m a Snell owner in a QS league. He was at 38 pitches through 3 innings. It took him 58 pitches to get the next 8 outs. He was far less efficient in innings 4 - 6 so while the early hook might suck for us fantasy players I’m not going to criticize Cash for his in-game decisions when this team is playing as well as they are so far this year. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  2. Touki optioned to Triple-A. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
  3. Triple-doubles in two straight games... Restricted FA this summer... Hopefully Conley gets traded... 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
  4. Ulis was a spark plug offensively in the IT mold but was too small to adequately defend any opposing point guards. Melton is known as a pretty good defender and looks to have a growing sense of the PG position and has looked more comfortable each game out. I don’t see the similarities in these two at all.
  5. The only thing the kid has working against him is his height. He’s three inches shorter (6’1”) than his brother Jrue, but their games are definitely very similar. I’d love to see him playing next to Oladipo.
  6. With the addition of Watkins to this offense does that help or hurt Kelce? ?
  7. Thanks for the response. On the surface you make good points, but... I know it’s an age-old question but how else can you improve versus lefties unless you get more opportunities to face them? And don’t we all know at this point what both Duvall and Hamilton bring to the table?
  8. Another HR tonight...why, again, is he not getting everyday at-bats on this team?!?
  9. Morton is a FA after the season, as well.
  10. Both Bieber and Plutko pitched tonight. Bieber - 7IP, 4H, 0ER, 1BB, 5K in AAA Plutko - 4.2IP, 8H, 5ER, 3BB, 5K vs CHW
  11. To be clear, the HBP was intentional. It was retaliation from Harrison being hit by a pitch earlier in the game. You’d think Pittsburgh might wait for a reliever to enter before enacting revenge. The wheels came off quickly after Musgrove’s HBP and ultimately cost the Pirates a win. You gotta love the unwritten rules.
  12. Two HR’s in the four game series vs HOU...one each vs Cole and Morton. His K/BB ratio has suffered since he took over regular playing time from Hanley but the average and OPS are still above .300 and 1.000, respectively. There is a lot to like here with Moreland hitting in the middle of that BOS lineup.
  13. Anyone else find it odd that Alonso is only DH eligible on ESPN but plays for an NL team?
  14. If he does indeed get sent right back down after Thursday’s game then a player on the 25 man roster would have to be placed on the DL in order for him to be called back up within 10 days. The Kingham/Nova situation in Pittsburgh is a nice example of the above scenario.
  15. Gave up 1 ER today in 6.2 innings and his ERA went up from 1.08 to 1.11
  16. Hell, he threw 114 again tonight. ??‍♂️
  17. Musgrove's last two seasons pitching regularly in the minors before being called up by the Astros: 2015 - AA, A+, A - 1.88 ERA, 100.2 IP, 99/8 K/BB ratio, 0.92 WHIP 2016 - AAA, AA - 2.74 ERA, 85.1 IP, 87/10 K/BB ratio, 1.04 WHIP There was not a clear opening for him when he was called up so he was shuttled back and forth between the rotation and the bullpen. The pedigree is there for this kid to be really solid with the type of control he showed in the minors. I just hope the shoulder issues don't reappear.
  18. I’m sure he means Reyes. And why is Flaherty still available in ANY league?
  19. It makes me laugh how one really bad inning from Smith erases all the good he provided over his last four starts. Is he prone to a loss of command from time to time? Sure. But who, outside of the elite guys, isn’t? He certainly deserves a longer leash than some of you guys are giving. But, hey, if you want to drop him for a middling option then so be it.
  20. MLB.com has Heaney starting on Saturday, fwiw.
  21. Sore hip...expected to make next start per TB’s Kevin Cash.
  22. I know it’s an apples to oranges comparison but this Soto/Robles combo reminds me a lot of the Votto/Bruce combo when both were on the verge of being promoted to the big leagues with the Reds. Bruce was the more highly touted of the two but it was Votto who became the stud. Just because Soto is slightly behind Robles in terms of upper minors experience it wouldn’t shock me in the least if Soto passes him up or makes Robles expendable in a mid-season trade to acquire help for a title run to help convince Harper to stick around beyond 2018.
