  1. Peyton Barber 2018 Outlook

He has scored more than 10 pts in 1 out of 5 games. I feel like you aren't understanding what floor means.
  2. Would you trade AP for Michel or Kerryon? A little worried AP may fall off as the season goes on.
  3. 2013-2014 Playoffs NBA Finals Game Thread

This. I doubt heat would make it out of the second round in the west. History would be a lot different if the heat didn't play in the most pathetic conference in nba history
  4. 2013-2014 Playoffs NBA Finals Game Thread

This thread is painful to read. Heat bandwagon fans are the absolute worst
  5. Daniel Straily 2013 Outlook

How is Straily the better pitcher? He allowed 11 HRs in 39 IP last year. Griffin allowed 10 in 82 IP. Griffin has done nothing to put his spot in jeopardy. He was very good last year, he had a solid 1st start this year and his team got the win, he would have to have a good stretch of bad starts before he was a candidate to lose his job. And if you want to argue luck, Straily was way more lucky in his small sample size than Griffin. He had a .225 BABIP. So when the scuds weren`t going over the fence at ridiculous rates, he was getting lucky with balls in play and had a nice 91% LOB% to put his FIP at 6.48 and xFIP at 5.30. His minor league numbers are superior to griffins plus from watching them both pitch straily clearly has the better stuff. Aj is a step up on him right now but his rotation spot is certainly not set in stone. I see straily eventually beating him out as the A's are too smart to leave him in the minors. Do you honestly think griffins ceiling is higher than straily?
  6. Daniel Straily 2013 Outlook

Since when was griffins spot set in stone? He was very lucky last year and straily is the better pitcher
  7. Daniel Straily 2013 Outlook

I like him if he has a spot in the rotation. Unfortunately it's looking like he will be optioned when colon returns
  8. William Powell 2012 Season Outlook

I highly doubt anyone in the Arizona front office considers it a sin that some undrafted FA in William Powell is not getting touches. The 49ers are the best defense in the NFL, averaging sub 1 YPC was expected when you have a line as bad as the Cardinals. I didn't see people saying fire Whiz after LSH went for 5.2 YPC against a very good Minnesota defense the week before, and 150 total yards. Running is only one part of what a back does, ball control, pass blocking, route running, ability to catch the ball are also factors. From what we have seen LSH is better at controlling the ball (only 1 fumble in over 500 touches), is a better pass blocker, is very good out of the backfield at catching and running. Powell was never going to be the pick up of the year, and no coach is on the hot seat for not playing him. He is who we thought he was, a long shot that would of made a nice story, but has severe limitations to his game (not good in pass pro, has fumbling issues), he dug his own grave, not the coach. He fumbled twice in 20 touches and got Kolb killed by missing a blocking assignment. He is buried, by his own doing. Why can't people just admit that and move on? Why is it so hard? LSH's game log with 5+ carries 8 carries -14 yards 11 carries 22 yards 22 carries 104 yards 1 TD 8 carries 6 yards he is pure garbage there is no arguing it. over half of his carries go for negative yards. powell led the league in rushing during preseason and the one game he got carries he went 13 carries for 70 yards. he should have been given a chance. and i disagree with you i think the front office should be concerned that this team began the season 4-0 and is now 4-4 that is pretty bad. btw i dropped powell over a week ago i realize he has no fantasy value i just find it ridiculous they dont give him a chance when he produces with limited opportunities and LSH is just pathetic
  9. William Powell 2012 Season Outlook

so all you guys expected the cards to continue to stick with their RBs averaging <1 ypc? and powell is rotting on the bench while averaging 4.6 ypc in his limited attempts. i agree with fouline powell could have very well been the pick up of the year if the cards were smart enough to give this guy touches. from what i have seen he is the best RB on the team. there is a reason this team has lost their last 4 games after beginning the season 4-0. thats what happen when you refuse to play your best players. their coach deserves to be fired immediately
  10. William Powell 2012 Season Outlook

just traded shady mccoy for lsh. RBs with this kind of job security are hard to find
  11. William Powell 2012 Season Outlook

lsh is so bad but appartently 0.8 ypc isnt bad enough to give powell a shot. cards are pathetic they are bout to lose 4 in a row after begining the season 4-0 and they completely deserve it
  12. William Powell 2012 Season Outlook

    Far too generous. lol

Exactly, using preseason stats for football is like trying to analyze baseball players based on there spring training stats. 100% worthless. i could not disagree more. you obviously cant put too much stock into preseason/spring training but to say it is 100% worthless is foolish. i remember people saying the same thing in the anthony rizzo thread and they missed out on very nice pick up 100% may of been a bit strong, but for the most part spring training stats are worthless. For a variety of reasons, hitting environment of Arizona and Florida vs. where most teams will be hitting in the cold April weather in most parts of the country, hitting against scrubs, pitchers not using there full arsenal and only using spring training to get there arm loose and ready for the season/working on new pitches. There is very little you can take away from spring training statistical data to use it towards projecting it to the regular season. And the same goes with the NFL as well for preseason statistics of teams playing just vanilla schemes, and using players in the 2nd half, a large majority of which do not even make rosters. here are some names that dominated preseason last year: antonio brown aaron hernandez kendall hunter bjge mat stafford http://nfllabor.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/9-3-11-preseason-stats-leaders.pdf
