  1. Machado Deal, WHIR

  2. Bryant or Betts

  3. Jose Ramirez 2019 Outlook

There’s always SOME concern, especially when we have a whole winter to pick things apart. Was it the shift? Was the increase FB% an attempt to hit it over the shift and/or get to 40/40? Pitchers sometimes figure things out. Good hitters then make adjustments. And JRam has enough of a track record as a good hitter at this point. I’m not all that worried as an owner in a keeper. You say move him down, but how many have his 5 category juice? Who doesn’t have at least one wart?
  4. Jose Ramirez 2019 Outlook

Before the panic sets in, this was posted in reply to this guy. Lots of noise in small sample sizes. And considering he his .318/29 HRs the season before, this looks like noise.
  5. New RW Forums Design Feedback Thread

Ah yes. I went to theme and changed to “default” from Rotoworld v5 (default) and it’s different than old but MUCH better. Thanks!
  6. bregman trade

Don’t think that’s close to enough. How many keepers? Rounds attached? Required to keep a certain amount?
  7. Pretty even, right? I own Bryce, but have 5 keeper OFs and looking to diversify. Seems the elbow surgery for Bregman went fine. Any concern there? Leave a link...
  8. Keeper Help on last player

He does not have Chapman. That was one of the options. Also don’t know if Whit would start at MI, assuming league settings (because we don’t know). All that said, you keep the best player. And that’s Whit. Frankly, there’s a good chance he’s more valuable than Correa in standard 5 x 5, even if we take into account your concerns here. Youre going to drop a 2B who has averaged 15 HR/40 SB Athens past two seasons because after 9 guys kept you have a need for a closer? That’s insane. Saves will be had elsewhere. 15/45 2B will not.
  9. Jeimer Candelario 2019 Outlook

Not sure what you’re looking at. ADP at 350 on Yahoo, and about the same most everywhere. https://www.fantasypros.com/mlb/adp/jeimer-candelario.php
  10. Rank these Prospects......WHIR

I like Edwards and his speed potential. Then Garcia (Nats) and Mesa. Then Valera.
  11. Bryce/Bregman dynasty swap —WHIR

11 team league. We use K/BB as well, which makes Paxton pretty valuable.
  12. Bryce/Bregman dynasty swap —WHIR

This is kinda where I’m at. Think Harper holds a little more value. And probably more upside. My current keepers (keep 8 forever)- Mookie JD Martinez Stanton Soto Bryce JRam JV Paxton We start 5 OF, but just think another infielder alongside JRam and still have 4 OF would be better heading into the draft. Thoughts (to all) on how close CSeager could be to Bregman? What if I could turn Bryce into Seager and WBuehler? Prefer the two or Bregman?
  13. Baez or Buehler - WHIR

I LOVE Buehler, but I think you keep Baez here. Any ability to trade one?
  14. Help with last keeper? WHIR

Close, as we can see by the replies. Considering you have an ace already and have almost no speed, that would be my tie-breaker. I’d keep Marte.
  15. Jose Ramirez 2019 Outlook

If he regresses back to his 2017, .318/29 HR/17 SB, I think people will be ok with him.
  16. last keeper spot

At this point I cut Urias. Lots up in the air, and assuming he’ll be limited again. Long term upside, but I like the others more.
  17. Roto league, keep up to 8 forever. My current keepers: Mookie JRam Bryce JD Martinez Stanton Soto JV Paxton As you can see, my team is very offense heavy, particularly in HR. Also 5 OF. I’m not loving my older staff, and considering a move to get an ace. Contemplating deGrom or Buehler (I traded both away last season). Considering deGrom will be 31 next year and Buehler will be 25, I’m wondering how close they are in value (we use K/BB instead of WHIP, FWIW). Thinking about offering a Stanton or JD for deGrom (though that owner also has Judge, so not sure his interest). This would also leave Paxton as a keeper, which I’m not pumped about. Also considering Bryce for Buehler and CSeager...thoughts? I haven’t followed Seager injury much, but do you think this is a solid enough return for Bryce in a keep forever league? Any other thoughts appreciated, and WHIR.
  18. Dealing Keeper Bats for SP...WHIR

I was dominating pitching categories and was trying to make a run in a few offensive cats. Now my pitching looks light is the reason.
  19. Commish idea help = WHIR

    1) In our 11 team league, we pay out top 3. Whoever finishes 4th gets the 1st pick. Our draft order looks like this: 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 3 2 1 This way we figure it’s always a benefit to finish as high as possible. We keep up to 8, but it works well. 2) I’m not really certain. Maybe a strict roto for 5 months (or whatever) to identify and reward the best teams, the top 4 teams get in a playoff, then there are two rounds of playoffs, two weeks each, that are H2H to crown the champ?
  20. 18 Team Dynasty Trade

FWIW, Kluber and Freeman are right next to each other in most mocks I see. Both top 20. This is a dynasty, and Freeman is 4 years younger. That’s going to make him more valuable I assume.
  21. 2019 Sleepers

Jose Peraza- .288/14 HR/23 SB/85 runs last season. -He was just 24 last season. Has always had the speed (two different 60 SB seasons in the minors), but may be adding a little pop to his game (9 HR after the break last season). -Already liked him with Suarez, Votto, Scooter hitting behind him. Now the lineup adds Puig and Kemp and you gotta think they’re gonna put up some runs. He had 125+ PAs last season at the 7 or 8 spot, I don’t anticipate that moving forward. Should be top of a strong lineup. -Early rankings for next season have him somewhere around SS13. That means most teams will have their starting SS and Peraza can be had at MI. That seems like great value even if he simply repeats what he did last year. But based on a few of the points laid out, I wouldn’t be surprised if he continued to grow, and finished: ~.290/15 HR/30 SB/100 runs
  22. Dynasty League Trade - WHIR

Understand your hesitations, but I think you gotta jump on this. You’re dealing some definite question marks in Puig & Yu and, as you said, getting by far the best player in the deal. And Stripling is very good, no matter the role.
  23. Early Keeper Look - WHIR

I also agree with Marte, Ohtani, and Jensen along with your 4 locks. I think these 3 should also be locks. For the last spot I think I’d keep Murphy. Already a stud hitter and now in Colorado. In fact, 1B seems pretty shallow this year. Having two guys could give you some good depth to deal from as well (maybe then consider dealing Rizzo for pitching).
  24. HOF Voters

Roy Oswalt, Kevin Brown, David Cone, Kevin Appier, Dave Stieb...a few borderline starters who have a HOF case who I believe could’ve been dominant closers. That said, theoretical. I get that. But Rivera’s bWAR (56) and fWAR (39.7) supports this argument. I know people don’t love WAR for RP, because it messes with their sensibilities. But I think it’s fair to say at his position, Rivera was worth 2-3 wins above replacement closer for 19 seasons. Either way, peak position players or starting pitchers often have multiple seasons 5-7 wins above replacement. I honestly think the best argument for Mo is the playoff record ON TOP of the positional dominance. Again, I’d vote for him. But I’d also put the best punter in the NFL HOF. Because despite the value you lay on it, it’s a position in football and the best should be recognized. But if you don’t agree, I think there’s an argument to be made.
