  1. But 2nd half declines is a complete myth, look at his numbers post all-star break last two years, they're great numbers.
  2. Rumors flying around that Astro's are scouting M Boyd heavily. If he gets traded to Astro's this greatly increases his value. https://larrybrownsports.com/baseball/astros-scouting-matthew-boyd/503281
  3. Sale can be a 2nd half guy, in 2017 Post All-Star he had 86.2 IP 130 K's 3.12 ERA 1.07 WHIP, in 2018 (with injury) had 29 IP 49 K's 1.55 ERA, 0.69 WHIP. Last two years post All-Star. I'm holding my Sale shares.
  4. If you're in a QS starts league you're definitely not happy with yesterday, but if you watched the game as BMcP said he got punished on bad stretch of pitching but other than that was fantastic the rest of the way.
  5. As of August 9th. Kershaw (back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Spin: Kershaw was able to throw off flat ground for the second consecutive day Wednesday, and everything apparently went well as he's now scheduled to throw off a mound for the first time since landing on the disabled list. The Dodgers will likely determine the next step in his rehab after Friday's bullpen, but the ace will ultimately require a simulated game and a rehab assignment before rejoining the Dodgers' rotation.
  6. In his last three starts (19.0 innings), Straily has allowed just two runs and one walk. The right-hander's ERA is still up at 4.60, but opposing batters are hitting just .225 against Straily. He'll get the White Sox again in his next turn Thursday. Straily held the White Sox to one run on six hits, while recording eight strikeouts over six innings Saturday, but did not factor into the decision in Oakland's 4-3 win. Wind is blowing from Left to Right at 12mph at U.S. Cellular Field too. Light Rain. Being that U.S. Cellular is a hitters ballpark and Straily and HR / 9 is 0.60 and his HR / FB is 5.3%. White Sox are also 8th in MLB with 21.9% K% and Straily K / 9 is 8.2. All those factors I would say he's a strong start today.
