  1. Michael Kopech 2018 Outlook

Long term, the future is certainly very high. Whats the xpectation for this year tho? Top 30 SP ROS? Better? Worse? I am thinking good comps might be Buehler or Flaherty, who are both top 30 (by AVG stats)...
  2. Willson Contreras 2018 Outlook

I have a feeling as soon as the season is over he will announce that he was injured all year...
  3. Willson Contreras 2018 Outlook

He is #9 in Yahoo H2H 5 category leagues for the season. For the last 30 days he is 23rd. If you look at AVG stats - how good he’s been on a game basis - he is 28th. Now obviously some of those guys in front of him haven’t played enough for their stats to matter, but still, he has been BAD...
  4. Carlos Martinez 2018 Outlook

I saw this announcement too, but I’ve come to be skeptical about team announcements in general. I just wonder, why would they announce a move like this? Why not keep your opponents guessing? What if he comes back sooner than expected, and he is sharp? What if they have other injuries? Wouldn’t they start him? In other words, I am going to hang on as long as I can, and see what happens...
  5. Willson Contreras 2018 Outlook

I remember thinking that about Lucroy a few years back. Turns out, he was cuttable! 😀
  6. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 3B TOR

I agree, I’ve been waiting all year for VG Jr
  7. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 3B TOR

I don’t know that its 0%, but it does look unlikely. https://fansided.com/2018/07/28/vladimir-guerrero-jr-called-up-triple-dont-expect-him-in-majors-this-season/
  8. Shohei Ohtani 2018 Outlook

I dunno, he is throwing bullpens, he definitely wants to pitch again this season. I dropped him in a 10 teamer, I just don’t expect him to get enough ABs to make it worth rostering him, especially as he only can fill the UTIL spot. High chance he loses ABs either because he starts pitching again, or he misses more time with injuries. I hope I am wrong, he is sooo talented and big fun to watch...
  9. Walker Buehler 2018 Outlook

Coors really isn’t playing that extreme this year. The stadium is 7th in HRs allowed; Cin, Phi, and Tex are far worse...(http://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/parkfactor/_/sort/HRFactor)
  10. Zack Wheeler 2018 Outlook

I’m still hoping he gets traded to a competitive team 🤓
  11. Michael Wacha 2018 Outlook

Not much good news. He is throwing, but apparently still at least a month away (according to this:) https://www.usatoday.com/sports/mlb/injuries/
  12. Zach Eflin 2018 Outlook

He looked a lot better today, only 1R over the first 7 innings. Unfortunately they sent him back out for the 8th and he gave up another HR and 2 more Runs. Still, encouraging. It would be great if he could get back to near that great stretch he had in June.
  13. Stephen Piscotty 2018 Outlook

Not on fire... wish the ASB didn’t happen 🤓
  14. Jonathan Schoop 2018 Outlook

Hey, I was right after all! Hopefully he keeps it up now
  15. Drop fry/hand for bench bat? Whir

I’d drop anyone who isn’t “THE” closer for his team - none of this committee nonsense...
  16. Dynasty League. Get Freeman? WHIR

Agree. And don’t discount Odubel, he’s been great this year..
  17. I wasted an early pick on Contreras, who has been consistently bad this year (with a few very good days mixed in). Perez had also been terrible, which is why someone in my league dropped him during the all star break. Perez is known for bad second halves as he plays a ton and wears down, but he has been on fire since the break. Would anyone drop Contreras for Sal? Whir
  18. Drop any of these dL guys?

I’d drop Dickerson. Sure, he’s helping, but he is not a difference maker. Every other one of those guys could win you the championship. i’d drop Devers before Sanchez. You have decent backups for Devers, but no one comes close to Sanchez when he is right.
  19. Jonathan Schoop 2018 Outlook

    Rats, I jinxed it ☹️
  20. Jonathan Schoop 2018 Outlook

I saw a rumor today that he might get traded - article mentioned the Brewers as a likely spot. That would be sweet!
  21. Jonathan Schoop 2018 Outlook

He is definitely heating up, but he no longer has Machado in the lineup, and who knows who else they trade. How much does this hurt his value? I assume his R and RBI will be down? No one in Baltimore can care too much at this point...
  22. Junior Guerra 2018 Outlook

Did he make any minor league starts or anything? I’m pretty hesitant to run him out there if not...
  23. Oakland reliever Lou Trivino has 7 wins, 4 saves, 50 Ks, and crazy good ratios. He is ranked 50th overall on the season, and 9th over the last month. In other words, he’s been better than pretty much anyone you’re currently rostering, and he is available in 70% of leagues. He’s pitching in high leverage situations for a surprisingly good team, and he didn’t even come up until about a month into the season. I’ll happily take 14 wins, 8 saves, 100 Ks from a reliever; any chance he gets there?
  24. Dylan Bundy 2018 Outlook

Are you saying you can predict Bundy? Because he had nasty blowups vs Min, TB, LAA, and KC. All easy opponents. And he had great starts vs Bos, Cle, and Hou. He’s a crapshoot. Either he has his good stuff and he pitches well, or he gets blown up.
  25. Dylan Bundy 2018 Outlook

Wow, no comments on this latest blow up? Does that mean everyone is out on him? i didn’t start him this time, and given his inconsistency, bad team, bad HR tendency, bad ballpark, and rough schedule (too many games against NYY and BOS), I think I need to drop him. Again...
