  1. Johnny Cueto 2018 Outlook

Starting with confidence. He’s a waiver add from a guy way too impatient to endure the extended DL process of an injury. I have nothing to lose and because his manager (me) says so, he’s ready. In all seriousness I’ll take and hope for a QS. This isn’t some young guy enduring the process of rehab starts and getting beaten around trying to figure it out. He’s a proven commodity and should be used in that way.
  2. Paul Goldschmidt 2018 Outlook

Is this real life? or is this just fantasy?
  3. Miguel Cabrera 2018 Outlook

I knew it when I watched it live. The home announcers and all who’ve watched him throughout his time in Detroit. You knew it was bad the way he reacted and immediately went to the clubhouse. Makes me sick and he was just a bonus to have him on my team. He was a nice value pick where I got him and being a Tigers fan made it even easier. It just sucks. End of an era. 5 years ago his at bats were like what I’d envision watching Mozart. The dude just knows his craft and was naturally gifted. Sad fall from grace. Sad to see the body break down on someone. Especially a player like him who just loves the game. You can see how much he has when he messes around with guys on first next to him when they get on base. He talks to them, he laughs, he has fun. You don’t see that candid enjoyment much anymore. The jokes about going back to drinking for him are really insensitive in my opinion.

Did not look good at all. Immediately clutched at his left bicep. I literally just got to full strength with Murphy today and now this.
  5. 6/12 - GAME DAY THREAD

Bye bye again to Cabrera. That’s not good.

Classic move in the NL. Putting a real hitter in the 9 hole puts a good hitter in front of the lead off man. It seems weird but it’s a good situation to be in at certain situations. Like for example if there were 2 outs with Severino at bat. He’s out number 3 and you lead off the next inning 9, 1, 2 with 9 being Torres in the game tonight. The pitcher’s spot in the order might get one more at bat than the 9 spot but it’s not likely and not as crucial as the top of the order.

Somebody should get Paul Goldschmidt some help. The man is on a binge and there is no end in sight. signed, my opponent

Thats why it is called “Fantasy Baseball” ...sold low on Martinez and bought high on Mazara’s hot streak. We’ve all done it. Torres stayed hot and Goldschmidt was cold when I made that deal. I’d love to have Torres streak 2 weeks ago but I also want Goldschmidt’s hot streak now...I can’t have both.

    Hope nobody added/started Beeks. Woof.

Longoria with 2 great plays in the field to get Bumgarner out of the first. Changeup looked good. Missed low and inside on a few pitches.
  11. 6/3 - GAME DAY THREAD

Scooter is literally my team right now. I don’t know how to feel.

Have room for a 3rd? 2/21 with a run scored and 2 SB (thanks, Whit!). Every Sunday I get settled in for a nice afternoon of baseball. It’s great watching the games until I see the dud I put up as a fantasy team.
  13. 5/30 - GAME DAY THREAD

    Tigers-Angels in a delay.
  14. Paul Goldschmidt 2018 Outlook

Ends the game 1-4 with the 2 run bomb today. His average is going up. We’ll take it. It seems like he could be coming out of his slumber a little bit.
  15. 5/30 - GAME DAY THREAD

Iglesias has allowed the first 2 on with Goldschmidt at bat in the 9th.
