  1. Am I the only one thoroughly confused about what psygolf's end goal is here? Like, to what end is this argument being made? Just a really big Roger Goodell fan?
  2. This thread has taught me never to try to have a rational discussion with old people.
  3. Many of us our idiots that have no issue making hypothetical statements that don't impact us in any way. He's 36 and can't walk down stairs. Think about that for a second. Plenty of guys in the trades can't either but you know that going in right? Even you cube jockies know your wrists will be junk eventually. Lifetime of money over a short period of time doesn't come without its consequences. If I were paid a few million dollars to type on this computer, for which I'd be idealized by millions of supporting fans, with the caveat that I'd be physically unable to perform my job by age 32, and that my hands are going to fall off my age 36, I'd find a new job. If no one told me that was a realistic risk, and instead I assumed I'd just have some arthritis in my wrists, I'd keep the job, and then when my hands fall off, I'd be pretty ******** pissed off.

  5. This is why this stuff keeps happening. "He knew the risks," but football is awesome and everyone wants to do it, so we're all just gonna pretend like this doesn't exist and criticize anyone that dare try to warn future generations. I don't know about anyone else, but I have no doubt admitting football probably shouldn't exist in its current form. It's awesome and I'm gonna continue to watch it, but I'm not playing it and probably would steer my kids towards something else.
