  1. Pablo Lopez 2018 Outlook

    He is.
  2. Jurickson Profar 2018 Outlook

He's played 8/9 last days, maybe just a rest day?
  3. Brandon Nimmo 2018 Outlook

Not sure how to post just a pic of the graph, but here is a 15 game rolling average for Nimmo https://www.fangraphs.com/graphs.aspx?playerid=12927&position=OF&statArr=35,102,107&legend=1,2,3&split=base&time=game&ymin=&ymax=&dStatArray=&start=2018&end=2018&rtype=single&gt1=15 His O Swing has not gone up, his contact has not gone down. It's just his K is inflated lately. Are we sure we should be concerned here? Nothing has changed in his discipline or contact.
  4. Mike Clevinger 2018 Outlook

Swinging strike rate is still there, and we have seen him do it before, so I don't think we should be too worried. The narrative I am going with is that because he is also pitching in the zone more, starting off 0-1 more, and his walks are down, this may be intentional. He's also going deeper into games this year. He is on pace for close to 200 innings.
  5. Jack Flaherty 2018 Outlook

are you inferring anything with that graphic?
  6. Chris Archer 2018 Outlook

Groin tightness, was removed after the 5th
  7. Jurickson Profar 2018 Outlook

Can you help me understand why not? I am open to changing my mind. Do we agree a player breaking out is doing something they have never done before? The player is going above and beyond what they have done in their career. What substantial gains has Profar made this year? What abilities has he greatly improved upon? What new abilities is he showing? I don't have a strong opinion, I am ready to come to the other side.
  8. Jurickson Profar 2018 Outlook

Sure wRC+ is just one stat, but it more so a summary of all offensive contributions put together. wRC+ is accounting got his Bb K rates and Babip. profar is..fine? but breakout? not quite there yet.
  9. Jurickson Profar 2018 Outlook

92 wRC+ does not scream 2018 breakout to me.
  10. Jacob deGrom 2018 Outlook

2.45 ERA over his last 29 starts.
  11. Jacob deGrom 2018 Outlook

20 foul balls in the first inning yesterday
  12. Gerrit Cole 2018 Outlook

It's only been 4 starts. I want to see where he is at come the end of May. I want to see how bad the bad is going to be. I want to see if he can continue to handle left handed bats which he has not been able to the last 2 years. I own him, I'm just trying to temper our expectations. But I can definitely see a world where he ends up as a top 5 pitcher. In 2017 There was a 5 Start Stretch 2.25 ERA 20.8 K-BB Rate There was a 7 Start stretch 1.96 ERA 20% K-BB Rate
  13. Michael Conforto 2018 Outlook

He already has. See my post above about 2017.
  14. Michael Conforto 2018 Outlook

He is .180 for his career average vs left handed pitchers.
  15. Michael Conforto 2018 Outlook

177 Career Plate Appearances vs LHP. 109, 61.5%, of them came in 2017. 2017 He had .729 OPS, 92 wRC+ vs LHP.
