  1. Astros are taken ... Cubs are still available
  2. I run two (identical) 16 team H2H Points Leagues in ESPN .. After building the first one for people online, I decided to build the 2nd one (later in the same 2008 off-season for personal friends trying to get them to get rid of a 4x4 NL Only Roto league I was in with them - they're old school - league started when you had to keep stats from box scores in the newspaper everyday - so, no luck getting them to change, so kept the league and built another one for online players) .. Tidbits about the league/s: Salary Cap / Keeper System (each owner has 15 years worth of MYC = multi-year contracts to distribute each season - the signed players remain in the round they were drafted throughout the duration of their contract - 4 year contract is maximum, even though we allow one player signed to MYC who just completed their contract to be signed to a 1 or 2 year extension .. Players real life salary from the previous season is what we use, according to cots -salary only, no signing bonuses/incentives/etc are factored into their salary .. We have a very rewarding MiLB system -as these players tend to be highly valuable as they are placed in our latter rounds of the draft once they're required to be promoted to our MLB roster - highest % of players signed to 4 year MYC come from this group of players since they're cheap and latter round .. Slow, snake draft held on Proboards during the offseason - we fill the draft board with MYC's and MiLB promotees and fill out our rosters via snake draft ... There are a few other interesting traits of the leagues, but these are what I consider the highlights (fun contests to win additional spending cap $$ - i.e. currently prediction outcomes - winners/# games/MVP for each playoff series in MLB - predicting MLB Award winners / + lots of other fun ways to benefit and stay active .. we've built a very solid base of reliable, competitive owners .. This past season we had 5 teams battling it out for the final 2 playoff spots (8 teams make playoffs) in the final week of our regular season .. Leagues are entering our 11th season ... One owner has just taken a new job and will be traveling a lot and won't have time this season while the other is a senior in college and has an extremely heavy class load as well as two kids, leaving not enough time this year .. The following lists are the players who are already signed to MYC for each of the available teams (Player's Name / # of Remaining Yrs signed / Round Drafted): Team #1 - Chicago Cubs The following players are signed for 2 more seasons (2019/2020): ... Billy Hamilton - 8th Round Draft pick ... Jordan Montgomery - 10th Round Draft pick ... Brian Anderson (SP Marlins) - 27th Round Draft pick The following players are signed for the upcoming 2019 season ONLY: ... Nolan Arenado - 1st Round Draft pick ... George Springer - 3rd Round Draft pick ... Anthony Desclafini - 6th Round Draft pick ... Brad Miller - 9th Round Draft pick ... Eric Thames . 12th Round Draft pick ... Delino DeShields . 15th Round Draft pick ... Dustin Fowler - 26th Round Draft pick The following players MUST be promoted due to losing MiLB eligibility: ... Catcher: Jorge Alfaro - Phillies ... Shortstop/2B: Franklin Barreto - A's ... Left Field: Juan Soto - Reds Players eligible to be retained on MiLB (no reason to drop any of them, as you have ample space to retain all and still have a pick in each round of our MiLB draft): 1) Carter Kieboom . SS . Nationals 2) Sean Murphy . C . A's 3) Jhailyn Ortiz . OF . Phillies 4) Alex Kiriloff . OF . Twins 5) Fernando Tatis Jr . SS . Padres 6) Lucas Erceg . 3B . Brewers 7) Richard Urena . SS . Blue Jays Team #2 - Houston Astros Signed for 2 more years (2019/2020 seasons) 1B: Joey Votto - 2nd Round SS . Jean Segura - 5th Round C: Wilson Contreras - 18th Round RP: Josh Hader - 19th Round P: Julio Urias - 21st Round Signed for the 2019 season ONLY: 1B/Util: Ian Desmond - 12th Round LF/RF - Hunter Renfroe - 16th Round 1B: - Dominic Smith - 17th Round The following players MUST be promoted due to losing rookie eligibility: SS: Willy Adames . Rays CF: Roman Quinn - Phillies The following players may be retained on MiLB roster (no need to drop any because you have ample space to retain all and still have a pick in each round of MiLB draft): Chance Adams . SP . Yankees A.J. Puk - SP . A's Justin Dunn . SP . Mets Forrest Whitley . SP . Astros Alex Jackson . C . Braves Duane Underwood . P . Cubs Dylan Cease . P . Cubs Rowdy Tellez . Blue Jays I will tell you that for the first time in our league's 10 year history, I allowed ANY owner to edit their team's MYC distribution from this previous 2018 season's signings ... So, if/when you join, you'll be allowed to re-do the signings (# of years and/or the players whom were signed to MYC) of whichever team you take over ... This might sound complicated, but it won't be, and I or another member will be able to help you out if you choose to take advantage of this ... You would be able to edit the # of years given to the following players from each team: ... Cubs: Billy Hamilton .. Jordan Montgomery .. Brian Anderson .. Eric Thames .. Delino DeShields .. Dustin Fowler - or you could replace these players with other players who were on the Cubs roster at the conclusion of the season - provided they're eligible to be signed to a MYC ... Astros: Joey Votto .. Jean Segura .. Josh Hader .. Ian Desmond .. Hunter Renfroe . Dominic Smith I just looked at both teams final roster and each have better options on which MYCs exchanged and given out to different players ... Here is the link to the 2018 season spreadsheets .. you can view every team by clicking on the tab at the bottom of the team you want to see ... Cubs and Astros are the 2 teams in need of a new owner: Any player listed in white or red font on those 2 rosters (2018 season) is eligible to be signed to a new MYC - our MYCs can be given out in 2, 3, or 4 year increments - Each owner had 15 years worth of MYC to give out this past season .. (Just so you know, the 1st year of any player you choose to sign would be the 2018 season ... So, let's say you want to void Ian Desmond's MYC and give it to Jacob Faria or Jake Lamb or Ketel Marte, if you replace it with the same 2 year MYC, then the new player would be signed through the upcoming 2019 season only .. If you decided you want to give one of these three players a 3 year MYC, then they would be signed through the 2020 season - as the 2018 season will count toward one of the 2, 3, or 4 years MYC you choose to give out .. This might sound complicated, but, again, once you're around a couple of days, it won't Here is the link to 2018 season: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QlxEhHnsUT_QYxzWQ8REPTlPQxNcsqWhSSpQk2370D0/edit?usp=sharing Here is the link to 2019 season: (just started being updated, not of any help yet) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17AfGaIYNqOH0yn9hIXMOQYwX_wbCNX49T20Y0Lw5j7w/edit?usp=sharing Look forward to hearing back from you ... Rich Hill (1 year as 11th Rounder) ..... Adam Conley (1 year as 16th Rounder) ..... Lance McCullers (1 year as 19th Rounder) New Owner will still be able to give out 4 more years of MYC control to eligible remaining players on current roster (Jose Ramirez 1st Rd, Freddie Freeman 2nd Rd, Khris Davis 4th Rd, Marwin Gonzalez 6th Rd, are some of the better options I would recommend = either Jose Ramirez for all 4 or break 'em up and sign 2 of the above mentioned players for 2 years each - pretty sure Ramirez would be one of those, Freeman is pretty expensive but will still be taken in top 2 rounds, as I'm sure Davis would go high in our upcoming draft too) Players who will promote from MiLB Roster: Gleybar Torres + Corbin Burnes still has an okay MiLB roster, but can definitely stand to be strengthened Harry Doyle: .... Rafael Devers (3 yrs as 22nd Rd) .... Scott Kingery (3 yrs as 24th Rd) .... Jason Kipnis (1 yr as 3rd Rd) .... Robbie Ray (1 yr as 13th Rd) .... Archie Bradley (1 yr as 21st Rd) New Owner will have opportunity to give out 4 more years worth of MYC control to eligible players remaining on current roster Ryan McMahon is the only player from MiLB who MUST be promoted Current MiLB Roster is LOADED with talent (Forest Whitley, Taylor Trammel, Keibert Ruiz, Dane Dunning, Joey Wentz, Austin Meadows, Alex Verdugo, Victor Robles, Brendan Rodgers, Alec Hansen) If you, or anyone else, are/is interested in either of these teams, feel free to respond below or contact me via email: FlorencePost11Baseball@msn.com Our offseason activities will be beginning shortly, so we would love to locate our two new owners ASAP Thanks!!

  5. Thought we had found an owner, but he seems to have disappeared ... We're still waiting for a new owner to make this team's 1st round pick (even though a committee will select a player very shortly so our draft can progress) .... So, bumping this post up ... Thanks!
  6. My league isn't exactly what you have advertised for, but it's close ... 16 teams / contracts / salary cap / H2H Points / MiLB roster is expanding from 10 to 15 this coming season / Stability, league is entering 10th season - with still about 50% of original owners are 8+ years ... opening I have is for an inaugural member ... I run two leagues that are identical - and - there is a big push being made by quite a few members in each league to start a new one (identical) from scratch and make it a $$ league ... hopefully that will happen beginning next season - I created a post a couple of days ago, it's on page 2 now with a pretty in depth explanation of what we have to offer ... would love to you look it up and consider us, because one of our members thought he had recruited someone from one of his standard type leagues, but I don't think that owner is going to work out, so the team is still available ... Thank you!
  7. Basics about the league: Head to Head Points - 16 Teams - Unique Keeper (players signed to Multi-Year Contracts are keepers as well as prospects who lose rookie eligibility and must be promoted - Each owner gets 15 new years worth of MYCs to give out each season, which is up from 12 in the previous couple of years which is up from the 8 used in first 7 or 8 seasons of the league - don't want to be a dynasty league, but also want to make it more possible for owners to have more control years at their disposal than we used to) Very rewarding MiLB prospect system Salary Cap - use real life salaries from the previous season 7 maximum starts per week for SP - means you have to manage your staff instead of just loading up on SP and sending 'em out - penalties for exceeding limit Free league hosted on ESPN Unique schedule (new for the upcoming season): ] .... Create 2 Leagues while still utilizing 4 team divisionsPlay each interleague team once = 8 gamesPlay each league (non-division) foe twice = 8 gamesPlay each division rival five times = for a total of 15 games vs divisional rivalsWay it would work: Week 1 - vs three divisional rivals = 3 gamesWeeks 2 through 4 - vs 1 league or interleague foe = 3 gamesWeeks 5 through 7 - vs 1 divisional rival + 1 league or interleague foe = 6 gamesWeeks 8 through 10 - vs 1 league for interleague foe = 3 gamesWeeks 11 through 13 - vs 1 divisional rival + 1 league or interleague foe = 6 gamesWeeks 14 through 17 - vs 1 league or interleague foe = 3 gamesAll Star Game week - vs three divisional rivals + 1 league or interleague foe = 4 gamesWeek 18 - vs three divisional rivals each week = 6 gamesWill produce a 31 game schedule, heavily weighed vs divisional rivals (15/31 = 48% of games) which will resemble real life MLB schedule as far as % of games vs divisional rivals We have just started our draft clock last night and one of our longtime owners seems to have disappeared - (pharmacy school internship) - He basically abandoned the team this past season but said he would like to keep his team and he even added a 2nd owner to help him manage the team through this ultra busy time for him .. However, he has already missed his 1st round pick (time just expired a couple of hours ago) - We have a slow draft that we hold on our Proboards site - The team isn't in the best shape of any team in the league, but it's also in the kind of shape that will allow the new owner to make the team his/her own with very little effort, because there are only 4 returning players already signed to MYCs on this roster, but it does have 3 prospects from MiLB that must be promoted in order to be retained - 2 of 'em are for sure to be promoted while 1 would be questionable - Lucas Giolito , Rafael Devers, Alan Hansen are the 3) .... The team's MiLB roster is loaded with solid prospects - Mickey Moniak, Victor Robles, Alex Verdugo, Ryan McMahon, Brendan Rodgers, Austin Meadows, Josh Lowe (we can retain 10 prospects this year, expanding to 15 next season + we will hold a 7 round MiLB draft after the completion of our active roster draft - will be reduced to 6 rounds next season) Here are some links for prospective new owner to use to look over our league: ..
