  7. D'Angelo Russell 2017-2018 Season Outlook

Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said the timeline for D’Angelo Russell’s return still is in the hands of the performance team, not his. But he said the guard’s two-month rehab — which included a three-on-three Friday before the Nets’ 110-105 win over the Hawks — has had a silver lining in letting the 21-year-old work on his body and add much-needed strength. “He played a pretty high-intensity three-on-three, full-court,” Atkinson said. “So it’s a buildup. I can’t give you a timetable, but it’s trending positive: contact, three-on-three, picks, defense. It’s a daily discussion with the performance team, and when he’s ready, they’ll tell me.” https://nypost.com/2018/01/13/dangelo-russell-getting-added-benefit-from-long-recovery/

LaVine and his representatives are meeting with Bulls trainers, doctors, management and coaches Monday afternoon to set his return date after left ACL surgery last February. It will be soon, possibly as early as Saturday. “He’s doing windmills and between the legs. 15. Zach Lavine 2017-2018 Season Outlook

K.C. Johnson‏Verified account @KCJHoop 33m33 minutes ago More Kris Dunn, on whether it will be an adjustment for Bulls when Zach LaVine returns: "Zach is not a selfish player. He takes the right shots. If he sees somebody open, he’s going to pass the ball. It’s all about playing the right way." The meeting with Zach LaVine, his reps, Bulls doctors, trainers and management and coaches (holy summit) is between shootaround and game. Would guess we'd get update on return game tonight. Also would guess window opens Sat vs. Pistons. Kris Dunn on Zach LaVine: “He’s doing windmills, between the legs. I think he’s good to go.”
