Go Clevinger, Hill, and Glasnow. https://rotogrinders.com/weather/mlb http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups
  2. Jose Ramirez 2018 Outlook

This dude is simply phenomenal. Here's some info on him: 1. He finished in the top 15 in batting average. Of those 15 players, he had the lowest BABIP. Due to his GB/FB ratio being almost even, he could easily challenging for a batting title. His hard% jumped more than 7%. 2. He was one of 10 players that struck out less than 12% of the time in 2017. Of those players, he was the leader in ISO at .265. Who was the closest to him? Votto at .258. 3. Lead the majors in doubles with 56. He doesn't need to hit 30 homers to be an elite player. Even if he hits 20 - 25, he is a top 15 - 20 overall player in 2018. Do yourself a favor and draft this dude.
  3. 9/21 - GAME DAY THREAD

Go Castillo, Teheran, Sabathia, and Hill. https://rotogrinders.com/weather/mlb http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups
  4. Ryu Sunday?

I would definitely go with Ryu.
  5. Gerrit Cole 2018 Outlook

Looks like the Yankees are interesting in trading for GC. He posted a 1.37 HR/9 in 2017 while playing in a pitcher's park. If he gets traded to the bandbox that is Yankee Stadium, I don't see that HR/9 coming down. I still think he is a solid SP2 that could finish the season with 200 innings, 3.5 - 3.7 ERA, 1.2 WHIP, and 12 - 15 wins (depending on which team he is on). I'd be comfortable drafting him any time after the 7th round in a 12 team league.

  8. 9/19 - GAME DAY THREAD

Go Severino, Flaherty, Keuchel, and Eflin. https://rotogrinders.com/weather/mlb http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups
  9. Corey Kluber 2018 Outlook

Really? Kluber pushed back to Monday again. Same thing happened last week.
  10. Walker Buehler 2018 Outlook

He should be good to go for 170+ innings next season. Easily a top 20 SP, with the potential to be top 5.
  11. Vent & Rant Thread 2018

Keuchel and Flaherty. Just what I needed in the finals.
  12. Luis Severino 2018 Outlook

What a fantastic 2017 season. 10.71 K/9 and 2.37 BB/9? Simply superb stuff. He threw 193.1 innings last season so he should eclipse 200 in 2018. Would you guys feel comfortable with him as your SP1 or would you want an ace with more of a track record? ESPN has him projected as the SP10 and is ranked #39, putting him in the 4th round. Fantasypros has him as the SP11 and is ranked #45, also putting him in the 4th round.
  13. 9/19 - GAME DAY THREAD

Hope none of you streamed Stratton.
  14. 9/19 - GAME DAY THREAD

I expected Severino to get hammered tonight. He actually looks pretty good.
  15. 9/19 - GAME DAY THREAD

Definitely won't be drafting him again. He leads baseball in H/9.
  16. 9/19 - GAME DAY THREAD

    Great start, Keuchel.
  17. Mike Clevinger 2018 Outlook

    He's pitching on Saturday.
  18. 9/19 - GAME DAY THREAD

Nice start from Eflin. One more inning would have been nice, but I love those strikeouts.
  19. Freddie Freeman 2018 Outlook

A truly elite player. Before going down with injury, he was the hottest player on the planet. He lowered his K% and is elite in terms of BB%. Due to his GB/FB of 0.86, you can expect his average to remain high, probably .285+. Freeman is a fantastic guy to draft in the second round and you might even be able to snag him in the third. He will certainly be my target for 3B.
  20. Aaron Nola 2018 Outlook

Extremely high on Nola this season. Although the Santana signing doesn't make a ton of sense, he should help Nola win more games. There's really nothing to dislike about Nola. His 9.35 K/9, 2.56 BB/9, and 0.96 HR/9 are all pretty fantastic. Not only that, but he really limits hard contact. If he can give us 180 - 190 innings, 14 - 15 wins, 180 - 190 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.4 - 3.5, you're looking at a top 15 SP. He should go in the 6th or 7th round in most 12 team leagues, which is fantastic value.
  21. Anthony Rendon 2018 Outlook

Steady player that is currently in his prime. Definitely a guy to target every season.
  22. Carlos Rodon 2018 Outlook

    Yet another bad outing.
  23. 9/18 - GAME DAY THREAD

    No win for Joey.
  24. 9/18 - GAME DAY THREAD

Go Nola, Kershaw, Kluber, Lucchesi, etc. https://rotogrinders.com/weather/mlb http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups Happy Nola Day, gents.
  25. 9/18 - GAME DAY THREAD

I miss vintage Kershaw. Definitely declining.
