  1. He pitched two innings tonight.
  2. Liover Peguero, SS, ARI is also an interesting prospect whose name has come up. John Sickels answered a question about him in his recent prospect mailbag and he was mentioned in a FG article about being upgraded to a 45+FV, basically putting him in the tier just outside the top 100. He's 18 and his numbers have been very good this year: .364/.410//970 in Rookie ball .306/.358/.828 in Class A short season FG says he's got a very good hit tool and speed, and he projects as an everyday shortstop. He wasn't projected to have a lot of power, but is actually showing some. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/top-32-prospects-arizona-diamondbacks/
  3. Fangraphs made a final adjustment to their top 100: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/one-last-top-100-prospects-shuffle/ Marco Luciano inside the top 40 now at 38, and Valera and J-Rod inside the top 50. All the regular suspects move up. Interesting is the addition of Liover Peguero to the 45+ tier just outside the top 100. Another name there I didn’t recognize is Tucupita Marcano, yet another SS in the Padres’ system.
  4. He’s gonna be a frontline SP:

  8. Frias, who’s been mentioned a few times in this thread:
  9. I finally watched him pitch last night and even though the line doesn't look good, I came away really impressed so figured it was time for a thread for him. Here's a scouting report I found that raves about him: https://2080baseball.com/reports/jhoan-duran-2/ His MILB.com page: http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=661395#/career/R/pitching/2019/ALL FG: https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa873347&position=P I agree about the curve. I was incredibly impressed with his hook during the game last night. He was unhittable for the first five innings and it looked like he lost steam in the 6th, giving up 5 runs. But despite that, he looked like he had the potential to be a top of the rotation starter.
  10. On the temporarily inactive list since July 22. Anyone know what that means? This is his second time this year on that list.
